spiritualnewyearresolutionsFor the last two months, ‘Home for Today and Tomorrow‘ (which can be seen on U-Tube as recorded every Wednesday on Worship Center Radio) has emphasized what Christians must do to get right with God.  So this week’s program will review  a list of resolutions  needed to improve every believer’s  relationships with God and other human beings.  So for our New Year’s Promises for changes in our ways, let us resolve to:

1. Pray more every day: “Evening, and Morning, and at noon, will I pray , and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice (Psalm 55: 17).” Notice that God is saying that our day should start in the evening. Apostle Paul adds: “Pray without ceasing ( 1 Thessalonians 5: 17).” And remember that the last thing Satan wants you to do is to pray, so he will come up with any excuse possible.  Also, always pray in The Name of The LORD Jesus too.

2.  Walk more in love toward everyone, starting with forgiving everyone–going back over the years and forgiving people in your heart and telling God that you forgive them.  Really it is so liberating to forgive, because when we forgive others God also forgives us. This indeed is walking in love:  “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God: and everyone that loveth is born of God and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is Love (1 John 4: 7 – 8).”

3.  Spend more time in God’s Word.  Read the Bible every day.  And think about the meaning of what you have, and also Confessing its truths for your well being as often as possible: “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth [meaning you shall not stop saying it]; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1: 9).”  So let’s open those wholesale Christian Bibles and review our resolutions for the coming year.

4. Start practicing your Christianity first at home, first with forgiveness and much love and forgiveness.  At family meal times don’t forget to say grace over the food for your health and happiness.  Also have regular times for sharing prayer and Scriptures together. “For this cause I bow my knees unto The Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Of Whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named (Ephesians 3: 14 – 15).”

5.  And find a decent church in which the congregation is really there to find Jesus and to learn how to DSC_0616live for Him according to His Word; also one with a pastor who humbly preaches God’s Word, who seeks direction from God’s Holy Spirit and who wants to follow The LORD Jesus’ example for ministry, teaching, healing and delivering supplications from evil:
“And He gave some apostles; and some prophets; and some, evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby theylie in wait to deceive: (Ephesians 4: 11 – 14).”

6.  Above all pray for real Holy Ghost revival that God would pour out His power to heal upon earnest Bible believing constantly-praying pastors, teachers, evangelists, etc., and all true believing Christians (Isaiah 57:15).

7.  And stop cursing–using foul language.  You are a Christian and you will be judged for every useless word that comes out of your mouth: “But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.  Therewith bless we God, even The Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.  Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing.  My brethren, these things out not so to be.  “Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? So can no fountain yield salt water and fresh (James 3: 8 – ll).”

So  now beloved, Expect great things from God in 2016. He is pulling out all the stops in blessing and promoting His children as it is time for all true Christian believers to get ready to leave this battlefield of earth together, and to go to our eternal home with Our LORD and Our God!!!!
