UnMasked Guard Discovers: Another Leak at Japan’s Fukushima Site

Fukushima_Daichi_Nuclear_plan-thumb-450x270I’m ok. I’m ok.  I’ve been emailing back and forth with I.B. Wells, IV about China selling U.S. dollars, and how hard it may soon get for everyone in the U.S.  I’ve been in China a couple of months, trying to check on the chickens they plan to send to U.S. More hard work! When, whatta ya know? Another leak at Fukushima!

This one is bigger than the one last October. Its drainage is much more toxic! If this is happening in China, no one here knows about it.  And if it is happening in the U.S., surely the story would have broken by now. So why does it happen repeatedly with Japan’s nuclear power program? Something is terribly wrong!

AFP’s Kyoko Hasegawa writes:  “A new leak of 100 tonnes of highly radioactive water has been discovered at Fukushima.”  After it was ‘accidentally’ discovered by a security guard, the plant’s operator admitted . . . only one of nine thermometers in a crippled reactor was still working.” But, why were they broken?

The best Tokyo Electric Power spokesman could say is:  “The toxic water is no longer escaping from a storage tank on the site . . . it was likely contained.  As there is no drainage way near the leak, which is in any case far from the ocean, it is unlikely that the water has made its way into the sea.”

Note such careful wording:  ‘likely contained,’ ‘near the tank,’ ‘unlikely.’  In other words they don’t know.  Listen, that ‘highly radioactive’ water can poison ground-producing food, and drinking water.  It contains 230 becquerel per liter of cancer-causing strontium-90 beta radiation which can damage human DNA.

Again, the best TEPCO can say is “We are now in the process of recovering the leaked water and the earth it has contaminated.”  All international journalists reporting on this story, join ‘earthend’ in questioning TEPCO’s creditability, especially after the number of leaks since the original disaster in 2011.

Last October, when a minor leak of 110 gallons of radioactive water spilled out, in ‘Japan Finally Admits to Needing NOAA energy map shows the intensity of the tsunami caused by Japan's magnitude 8.9 earthquakeHelp Containing Fukushima Leaks,’ Graham Templeton of extremetech.com quotes Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe:  “We are wide open to receive the most advanced knowledge from overseas to contain the problem. My country needs your knowledge and expertise.”

And then nothing happened.  No news about such ‘helpers.’  Writing for The New York Times, Martin Fackler refers to this week’s leak as “the worst spill at the plant in six months.”  And get this, Fackler reveals:  “TEPCO said it had traced the latest leak to a pair of valves that were left open by mistake.”

Look, now I’m getting upset again.  There can be no ‘mistakes’ when working with nuclear power.  This is insane!!! And it keeps happening.  Wait! Fackler adds more:  “Tepco has struggled to deal with the hundreds of tons of groundwater seeping each day into the plant’s damaged reactor buildings, where it is contaminated by the melted nuclear reactor cores.” Whoa! Hundreds of tons!!

I will keep helping Ida on the China/dollar story, and spying on China’s chicken ‘farm factories’ shipping birds to America, but I’ve assigned assistants to check on nuclear leaks in the U.S.  As wholesale Christian Bibles promise:  “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8: 32).”
