H1N1-hospital-entrance    National media does not admit it, but an usually high number of Americans are dying from attacks of swine flu this winter, particularly children.  While flu cases speed up around the country, Texas and California are particularly hard hit.

Marina Lopes of Reuters reports from the Center for Disease Control [CDC] in ‘Seasonal Flu Spreading Quickly This Year in the United States’:  “Nearly half of the United States is reporting widespread influenza activity, most of it attributed to the H1N1 virus that caused a worldwide pandemic in 2009.”

CDC’s Dr. Joe Bresee adds: “We are seeing a big uptick in disease in the past couple of weeks. The virus is all around the United States right now.  There is still a lot of season to come.” Thus he recommends people get vaccinated now.

In ‘Dramatic Rise in Flu Deaths Reported by California Health Officials,’
Soumya Karlamangla discloses:  “State health officials reported Friday that California influenza deaths this flu season have doubled to 95, with an additional 51 cases likely to be confirmed next week.  That would put this year’s number of flu fatalities so far at 146. At this time last year, nine deaths had been confirmed, and only 106 were confirmed by the end of the season.”

Dr. Gil Chavez, California epidemiologist says; “So far we have a much more severe season.  In part, the gap between this year’s deaths and the number of deaths at this time last year is because this year’s season struck early. . . this year’s predominant flu strain is H1N1 ‘swine flu,’ which is more deadly than other strains. Seventy-five of this year’s 95 confirmed deaths were caused by H1N1.”

Chavez explains that  H1N1 swine flu aims particularly at young adults.  Ashley Hayes of CNN argues further that Latest-Influenza-Report-2014widespread flu activity is now in 35 states––an increase of 10 states in in a week.  “ ‘Widespread’ means that more than 50% of geographic regions in a state––counties, for example––are reporting flu activity. The most severe activity was seen in parts of the South and Southwest.”

Hayes emphasizes hospitals are overwhelmed with flu victims: “In some areas, including central Texas and the San Francisco Bay Area, overflow tents have been set up to handle flu patients.” CDC does not keep records on adult flu deaths.

However: “A total of 10 influenza-related child deaths have been reported since September 29. . .  The CDC has estimated that from 1976 through 2007, between 3,000 and 49,000 people died of flu-related causes.”

She passes on CDC advise:  “Antiviral medications are a good treatment if you do get sick, Jhung said, particularly those at high risk for complications. Ideally, antivirals should be started within two days of when symptoms appear.”

Ministries of healings must return to The Body of Christ in the United States.  Mark 3: 14 – 15 in wholesale Christian Bibles identifies the missions of Christ’s servants: “And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach,  And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.” These ‘new’ diseases will soon overwhelm traditional physicians, medicines and other ‘accepted’ remedies. And only God will be The Healer.
