The Last Killer Robot and The End of Time

(Note:  This Blog was in Worlds Collide.  We think it is important enough to repeat it here.) Various scientists, journalists and scholars urgently warn world leaders to decrease dependence upon killer robots, or else these man-made machines will soon annihilate the human race.

But, as they race for world domination, said leaders ignore these modern-day prophets.  Political and industrial leaders seem to take their orders from a silent hidden few pulling the world’s economic strings.  Those few want ever-more sophisticated  robots to slowly twist the death screws on 21st century populations.

In addition to making phone calls, running machinery, taking polls, and fighting wars––all jobs men and women once filled––robots now kill people.  The problem is: upon whose will do they kill.  Theirs or their makers?

Economist Paul Krugman, New York Times columnist, points out in: ‘Robots and Robber Barons’ exclaims that robotic technology is not only stealing workers’ jobs, they are greatly increasing the wealth of that silent few.  He points to computer manufacturers bringing production back to the U.S. because “the motherboard is basically made by robots so cheap Asian labor is no longer” needed.  The same decreasing human involvement is taking place across the planet.

In ‘Losing Humanity:  The Case Against Killer Robots,’ Human Rights Watch insists:  “Governments should preemptively ban fully autonomous weapons because of the danger they pose to civilians in armed conflict . . . ‘killer robots’ would be able to choose and fire on targets without human intervention.”

While the United States now leads in robot technology, other countries––i.e. China, Germany, Israel, South Korea, Russia, Great Britain, etc.––are not far behind.  Steve Goose, Arms Division Director at Human Rights Watch, says:  “Giving machines the power to decide who lives and dies on the battlefield would take technology too far.”  But these warnings may already be too late!

Physicists Hugo De Garis, refers to these robots as AIs or Artificial Intelligence.  He says the major war this century will be between AIs and people, and predicts AIs will win.  On ‘Prophets of Doom’ for the History Channel, De Garis explains that these mechanical beings are soon millions of levels smarter than people, and will, on their own, decide to kill billions so they can rule.

The Book of Revelation tells of a False Prophet who arises in support of the Satanic antiChrist ‘beast’.  This devious religious leader will convince people to build a robotic ‘image’ of the Satanic anti-Christ called the beast: “ . . . saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, . . . And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed (13: 14 – 15).”

Two thousand years ago, through the inspiration of God’s Holy Spirit, Apostle John wrote about a man-made Killer Robot empowered to give people the choice to worship Satan’s anti-Christ or the AI Robot will kill them!
