In This New Year 2014––More Whacky Weather Around the World

bat1-452705    Sub-zero temperatures in most of North America, searing hot weather in parts of Asia and South America, animals falling dead from heat in Australia, other animals in Brazil eating ice, seas instantly freezing in Norway, extreme heat hitting South Africa––the year 2014 continues the whacky weather around the world.

A Climate Council Report to be released next month reveals:  “Heat-waves in Australia are becoming more frequent, are increasing in intensity and are lasting longer.” Some forecasters expect temperatures there to break 50C, or +122•F.  Around that nation, some 100,000 dead bats have fallen dead from trees.

Sarah Perkins and Will Steffen, authors of the Report add:  “We are experiencing between one to three extra heatwave days a year, compared to the long term average, which doesn’t sound like a lot but it doesn’t need many of these days to kill people or cause damage . . .

“Heat-waves have significant impacts on our health, our infrastructure, our agriculture and our ecosystems.  Australia has always had hot weather. However, climate change is loading the dice toward more extreme hot weather.”

Officials called a four-hour halt to the Australian [Tennis] Open today as temperatures exceeded 43.3 Celsius (+109.9F) and fierce lightening struck. asia.eurosport.com writes the hotter weather finally broke when lightning Australian-Open-Too-Hotand thunder hit the Melbourne courts:

“Organizers, who had been slammed for forcing players to play on in searing temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday, enacted the third stage of their “Extreme Heat Policy” for the first time . . . .”  Also, Reuters there report “A large number of kangaroos, parrots and emus were reportedly found dead . . .” from the heat!

During the recent Polar Vortex, temperatures dropped to 60 below zero with wind chills in the U.S.  At least 16 Americans died in Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.  Americans everywhere said they had never seen temperatures so cold.

Norway public radio shouted out that cold of -17.96•F  and “a strong east wind froze the sea water instantly, trapping and killing the fish you can see in this fish-apocalyptic image.” Herrings chased by cormorant enemies froze instantly.

In Brazil, temperatures also soars to +120•F, so hot that zoo keepers feed animals ice pops.  They add eat and chilled fruits for larger ones. Around the world, workers try to handle people and animals in these extreme temperatures.

Of course, like their counterparts in Australia, leaders of nations around the world either deny or ignore these Global Warming weather changes.  But they should ask animals everywhere.  Animals know this is whacky weather.

Surely God did not intend for beasts to be smarter than people.  However, these reports demonstrate just how far away from truth modern man has fallen.  As used Christian Bibles predict:  “But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption (2 Peter 2: 12).”
