No Faith, No Victory—Then Time Runs Out

daily-devotions    Prior generations of believers in the United States knew God’s Word much better than the present one. Because they practiced daily devotions sometimes reading a chapter or two a day until they read through the entire Bible in a year, they took personal responsibility for knowing God’s Word, as well as His will.  Today, too many Christians depend upon pastors and television preachers to teach them just enough of “necessary” Bible verses to get them extraordinary prosperity, or miraculous healing.

Such “religious” Christians are like the generation that followed Moses and Joshua.  The Book of Judges in wholesale Christian Bibles illustrates that those who came after these leaders had very little faith in God, and in fact, they never resorted to serious prayer until they were overcome or “enslaved” by an enemy nation.

Their prayers of urgency eventually persuaded God to send a new ruler-judge who would lead the battle and set them free.  But when that judge expired or the urgency had passed, the nation easily slipped back into sinful carelessness until they were captured by a new enemy. Then the process of temporary prayer and repentance would start all over again.

Eventually the Holy Spirit-inspired writer of The Book of Judges gave a cogent reason for such lack of consistent faith and victory:  “In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes” Judges 17: 6  and 21: 25.  Because they could see no visible human leader and because they had very little faith in The Invisible Eternal God, the people in the Book of Judges lived to please themselves.  They gave little heed to God’s laws set forth by Moses in his five Books, or to Joshua’s admonitions in his following Book.

And in their shallow faith and stubbornness, it is doubtful that they more than seldom went to temple to hear That Word from the heart of God.  Even when at the temple, they probably went through the sacrifices for what they could get, not for what they could give.  Being faithful followers of God’s laws was not important to them. Such unbelief so stepped over the lines that God drew for their survival, that eventually by the time of the last Judge in The Book of First Samuel, they rejected Him as king altogether, and demanded to have a human king “like all the other nations around them.”  In short, they wanted to live the world’s way, not God’s way.

Today, the United States is on the precipice of utter destruction, one where only a sincere return to US-Destructionindividual and institutional prayerful intercession can pull the nation back.  Obviously, the continuous multi-destructive floods and fires in this year alone clearly show that God’s heavy hand of judgment is already falling on this nation.  Moreover, in today’s world of mass-destruction, where so many enemies want to over-run and destroy the U.S., it is extremely doubtful that the nation will be on a see-saw of weakness and restoration, as was the case in the Book of Judges.

Only the mercies of God can stop such judgment, and only sincere prayers of repentance from The Full Body of Christ in this nation—both those who know they have grievously disobeyed God and His Word, as well as those self-righteous ones who assume they are rich in deeds and wealth as in The Book of Revelation will work:  “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

“Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and thatthe shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent” (Revelation 3: 14 – 19).”

O.K. Believers—Time to Do All You Can to Win Souls for Jesus

army-of-fire    Let’s try it this way:  Read 2 Thessalonians 1: 7 – 11: “And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

“When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:”

Notice that The LORD’s flaming fire is not just for those who do not know Him, have never heard His gospel or accepted Him into their hearts. That fire is also for those “who OBEY NOT the Gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ.”

And just which Scriptures are we suppose to obey you ask? How about starting with His parting words in Mark 16: 15 – 18:  “And he said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak Power-In-The-Name-Of-Jesuswith new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Which signs are you obeying? What about casting out devils or speaking in tongues?  Do you ever command the devil to get out of people in The Name of Jesus or lay hands on the sick, praying for them, so that the sick will recover.  If not, ask God to please forgive you and baptize you with His Holy Spirit so that you can pray in tongues—thus protecting your prayers from that noisy eavesdropper Satan.

Oh no, you say, they don’t do that or believe in that in my church? Well what are you going to say about such disobedience when  The LORD confronts you about this disregard for His commandments?  Do you think the answer about your church will do?  The disciples who heard His orders in Mark 16: 19 – 20 of wholesale Christian Bibles simply believed and obeyed Him: “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.”

And what about Our LORD’s commands in Matthew 28: 18 – 20: “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.”

Which nations have you taught to observe all things that Our LORD commanded us to do?  Notice that in Luke the last Words The LORD Jesus spoke on earth ordered “ . . . that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem (24: 47).”  Who have you preached repentance to commanding that people simply stop sinning?

And are you so different from Peter to whom The LORD ordered three times to “Feed My sheep (John 21: 15 – 17).” So which of His sheep are you feeding? Nowhere in The Bible does it say that only preachers or missionaries have this duty.  Do you think God made a mistake when He called only common men, while He rejected the mucky-mucks in high places?

Please note that throughout the New Testament those who willingly gave themselves wholly to the Gospel of Christ were ordinary “non-big shots”, i.e.: a centurion army man, who although a leader of 100 men was far down from the rank of general—sort of like a lieutenant in today’s army (Matthew 8: 8 – 13).  Look at Paul, who although a religious Pharisee before He accepted Christ into his heart, was an ordinary tent builder who did manual labor with believers such as Aquila and Priscilla (Acts 18: 2 – 4).  Or consider Lydia a merchant who sold cloths she had made with her hands (Acts 16).

Thus, clearly, no believer, no matter how low their status in societal terms, has any excuse for not giving their all to get out the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s see: visiting the elderly with gifts and tracks in hospitals and nursing homes; writing blogs about your faith on the internet (i.e. contact Taryn at I.E. Plexus at 866-712-4451 or 425-956-3297 to start today); praying mightily at church and home prayer meetings; writing and printing books and tracts. . .

Traveling to new cities to witness for Jesus and pass out tracks; starting an on-line internet radio and TV ministry (i.e. contact Worship Center Radio at 313-782-4158); recording Christian witness programs on You-tube; writing Presidents, senators, congressmen, politicians, movie stars, and other famous people telling them about your faith and inviting them to accomplish great things in The Name of Jesus, etc. etc. etc.  There is so much more we can do for The LORD Jesus so we best start NOW!!!

Wake Up ‘Christian’! Jesus Says Be Either Hot or Cold

part time christian        The time for Christian ‘fence-sitting’ is over! The LORD is about to ‘up-chuck’ those who only call themselves Christians, sitting on their thumbs every now and then in churches, and doing little or nothing that He has asked them to do. Was this His command or just an ‘if you want to do it’ suggestion’: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16: 15)?” If you are truly ‘saved,’ that is ‘born again,’ and really expect to go to heaven, please answer this question: “What are you doing to support the Gospel of The LORD Jesus Christ?”

No, going to church in fancy clothes does not really support His Gospel.  Nor does just paying a few non-sacrificial gifts and offerings.  Moreover, how does the money you put into the coffers go into an effort to get God’s message out to all the world? You say, but that’s the preacher’s job! Really? Do you have Scripture for that belief? And do you know if the funds you donate do more than just pay church bills and pastors salaries?

Most important, what are you personally doing to get the The LORD’s message out to all the world, to every tribe, and to every nation? Those of Jehovah Witness faith go door to door, city to city to spread their inaccurate lies that The LORD Jesus is not God Almighty. Mormon young men fly from nation to nation passing out literature that doesn’t promote The LORD’s only requirement for salvation—“Ye must be born again” John 3: 7!

So as a “born again” Christian what do you accomplish for your Savior? Who are you witnessing to? Better yet—who are you praying for?  Is your family praying together at least once a week? No? Then are you interceding for those absent family members during your daily prayers? Do you have a prayer list of people you do pray for as often as possible? Do you witness to them, telling them about The LORD’s blessings in store for them?

And what about on at your place of employment? Do you witness for The LORD there, or do you hide your Christianity so you can ‘fit in’?  Better yet, how many radio and T.V. ministries going out into all the world attempting to spread God’s eternal love–so evident when He gave His Only Son to die for all mankind–do you support?

In short, what are you doing to show yourself “hot” for The LORD Jesus Christ? If you cannot answer in the affirmative that you truly are “hot,” then what do you think The LORD means in these verses from The Book of Revelations:  “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and no-lukewarm-chirstians-in-heavenincreased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

“I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (3: 14 – 20).”

Listen, we are living in the last days of mankind’s time on earth, in the age when World War III has already started. If you don’t believe that either, ask ISIS members who are working hard to bring more of their murderous revolution to the shores of your nation. If ever you plan to be a serious Christian, now is the time.  Once caught in The LORD’s “upchuck” of false or weak believers, wholesale Christian Bibles do not point to any way back into His body!

Understanding The God of the Third Heaven

posted by Jael Ever @ 16:02 PM

Hebrews-10While downloading various Scriptures on the judgments which born-again believers will face, such as Hebrews 10: 22-31:“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised); And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

“For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.  He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
“For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

. . . Hmm. It occurred to this professing Christian: Believers should provoke to love and to good works, huh? Then there is 1 Peter 4: 17-18: “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?”

But whoa: these verses from First John gave a real roaring shock: “Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (4: 15-18).”

Big hmmm #2:  Christians can boldly face their judgment when they love—love God and love man just as God loves–unconditionally!  But then let-down: that means most American Christians today will fail their final test, if they make it in at all, because in this generation, most professing believers love Jesus-Firstthemselves first, and maybe their own families second.

Of course, when God’s Holy Spirit writes “love,” He means the supernatural love that The LORD Jesus Christ showed during His earthy ministry. His example is the most crucial test that Americans who claim to be Christians do not understand: The Lord Jesus walked continually in love for ALL people—except those who faked religion under the guise of rightful leadership—these do everything they can to kill God’s true love!

In everything He did and said, The LORD Jesus was living testimony of The Love of God.  Even most of His disciples could not comprehend such love: first that He chose them, common working men, to be His disciples. Judas interpreted such ‘unseen before love’ as human weakness that he betray to his advantage.  Peter thought he could easily deny and disassociate himself from such love.

But that God Kind of Love forgives those who repent as Peter did, and Judas did not. That’s the God-kind of love that Apostle Paul—who had hated and violently persecuted Christian believers—discovered on the Damascus Road (Acts 9: 3 – 15).  It is the kind of love that enabled him years later to explain in 1 Corinthians 13:

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity [love], it profiteth me nothing (1-3) . . . .

Meditating in wholesale Christian Bibles, leaves nothing more to say, except: “Oh God, please, please help me to love in every way that I can as you love”!
