Nations Refuse to Prepare for the Worst of Global Warming, Part 2

April 11, 2014

Hurricane_Sandy_morning_October_29    Cecil Certifier:  Well so far in this study I have discovered four things: 1) I don’t know as much about disasters as I thought I did; 2) Only a few states in this country have taken significant steps against expected disasters; 3) Few people in the U.S. prepare themselves against disasters; and 4) Recurring government assistance to rebuild structures after disasters may not be the best solution.

Sarah Newsworthy: First, people must consider probable natural disasters that their locations are prone to. Certainly those living on the East Coast should be better prepared for hurricanes, because these storms attack there often. Yet surprisingly little has been done to shore-up protection from these storms.

Cecil:  Exactly. Consider that in states, such as Oklahoma and Kansas, prone to tornadoes, most governments in those, and other ‘tornado-alley’ states, still do not require protective storm shelters, even in new home and business constructions.

Sarah:  And science has proven that Global Warming is causing a greater increase in both hurricanes and tornadoes. In ‘Study: Climate Change Pumps Up Risk of Severe Storms,’ Doyle Rice says: “Deadly and destructive thunderstorms ––and the violent tornadoes they produce––are forecast to see a “robust” increase across parts of the U.S. in upcoming decades because of Climate Change.”

Rice reports on the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences which states: “Deadly and destructive thunderstorms––and the violent tornadoes they produce––are forecast to see a “robust” increase across parts of the U.S. in upcoming decades because of Climate Change (i.e. Global Warming).

“Springtime severe thunderstorms could increase by as much as 40% over the eastern U.S. (roughly from the Rockies to the Atlantic) by the end of the century . . The study is one of the first that’s found a link between Climate Change and severe storms,” according to Noah Diffenbaugh of Stanford University.

Cecil: As for tornadoes, even scepticalscience.com admits: “There is a broad consensus that storms are increasing beach-homes-destructionin strength, or severity. This attribute, called the Power Dissipation Index, measures the duration and intensity (wind speed) of storms, . . since the mid-1970s, there has been an increase in the energy of storms.”

Sarah: Undoubtedly, Global Warming has increased temperatures globally, especially in the United States.  In ‘Climate Change: No Warming Hiatus for Extreme Hot Temperatures,’ Science Daily summarizes one report:

The University of South Wales says:  “While there are claims that there has been a hiatus in global average temperatures, no such hiatus has occurred at the extreme end of the temperature spectrum. . . . extremely hot temperatures over land have dramatically and unequivocally increased in number and area . . .

Cecil: We will discuss how cities can help families during hot temperatures. If one is not in the habit of praying, it could be difficult to pray during an emergency.  Effective prayer comes from practice.  As Apostle Jude instructs in Christian messages, God-answered prayer is a growth process: “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost (1: 20).”

Nations Refuse to Prepare for the Worst of Global Warming

posted by Cecil Certifier @ 9:00 AM
April 9, 2014

Andrew-hurricane-was-here        Cecil Certifier:  Hey Sarah have you seen the new reports that Climate Change is going to get worse, much less harsher earthquakes, tornadoes, etc.? But nations still refuse to prepare for it. Now, that is certifiably insane!

Sarah Newsworthy:  Yes, you’re right Cecil, it is insane. Justin Gillis‘ account of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change titled, ‘Panel’s Warning on Climate Risk: Worst Is Yet to Come’ warns:  The report . . . concluded “. . . ice caps are melting, sea ice in the Arctic is collapsing, water supplies are coming under stress, heat waves and heavy rains are intensifying,

“. . . coral reefs are dying, and fish and many other creatures are migrating toward the poles or . . . going extinct. The oceans are rising at a pace that threatens coastal communities and are becoming more acidic as they absorb some of the carbon dioxide given off by cars and power plants, which is killing some creatures or stunting their growth. Organic matter frozen in Arctic soils since before civilization began is now melting, allowing it to decay into greenhouse gases that will cause further warming, the scientists said. And the worst is yet to come!”

Cecil:  And yet governments around the world refuse to prepare for that worst!  For instance, in ‘Millions of Lives at Risk as Governments Fail to Adopt Disaster Warning System,’ SPX News reports:

“World leaders are failing to adopt advanced early warning systems that could save millions of lives.  Technological breakthroughs mean that mobile phones can be used to alert millions of people–– in a designated locality, pinpointing precise warnings––to impending perils such as tsunamis and typhoons.

“But with a few notable exceptions, governments have been too slow to appreciate the life-saving potential of cheap and simple warning systems that could have eased the 3,600 death toll from the Philippines Haiyan typhoon.”

Sarah: People need to know exactly what can happen in such emergencies.  Mike Adams of NaturalNews.com advises that in such emergencies: 1) Severed water lines can cut off water supplies; 2) Phone communications and cell towers could be disabled; 3) Damaged power grids may eliminate electricity and heat;

4) Criminals could run wild overwhelming police; 5) Firemen, ambulance services and hospitals could be over-extended as well; 6) Freeways and roads may be whipped out preventing access to homes; and 7) Gas stations would probably run out of fuel, etc. etc. etc. multiplied!

Cecil: Wow!  This is serious! News reports are filled with examples of each one of those things happening in this major-disastercountry in the last few decades! Most of these system failures even occurred when Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast in 2012, or a dozen other of Nature’s rampages I could name.

Sarah: So Cecil, earthend-newbeginning.com will publish various emergency steps that nations, cities, individuals and families can take to prepare for such disasters, such as use of cell phones for notices as mentioned above.

Cecil:  And as Rev. Repriestly would say, the best preparation is to dwell on God’s Word in wholesale Christian Bibles and pray: “ . . . prepare your hearts unto The LORD, and serve Him only: and He will deliver you out of the hand of . . . [your enemies] (1 Samuel 23: 22).” And Global Warming events are one of the greatest enemies of this century!

Space Travel: Dangerous for Travelers, Earth and Realms Beyond

posted by Jim Seerfar @ 9:00 AM
April 8, 2014

Man-in-space        How much will it take for this nation to understand that traveling in space is stupid for so many reasons, including:  1) It greatly endangers the health of astronauts; 2) It could poison space with earth’s most sinister viruses; and 3) It could also bring unknown lethal viruses from space to earth!

Not only experiments with flies sent up in space, but medical records of astronauts prove that space travel damages the health of those who leave this earth to explore the unknown and return.  While the crew of Apollo VII was in space, all three suffered serious head colds, painful ear popping and forms of emotional breakdowns. NASA offered excuses, but none of them ever returned to space.

In his ‘Time Magazine’ article Jeffery Kluger explored that incident in depth. He quotes Dr. Leonard Mermel, infectious disease specialist of Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital: “Two years in a microgravity environment may have profound changes in astronauts and in aggressive microbes, creating a scenario not previously experienced in the history of human space flight.”

In studying the 30 year history of the space shuttle program, Mermel found 29 cases of infectious disease transmission––i.e. fever, and chills; fungal, urinary tract and skin infections; flu-like illnesses and viral gastroenteritis.

And then there is the matter of protecting space with diseases astronauts bring from earth.  As Ian Steadman of wired.co writes: “When searching for life on another world, the most fundamental precaution that any space agency needs to take with any probe or rover is to ensure it doesn’t carry Earth microbes. However, if reports are to be believed, Nasa may have screwed up . . .

“ . . . the possible contamination occurred six months before the rover’s launch in November 2011. Curiosity’s drill bits were designed to be stored in a sealed box, separate from the drill mechanism––however, a Nasa engineer worried that a rough landing might make assembling the drill on Mars impossible (and thus rendering one of the rover’s most important tools impotent), and opened the sealed unit to install one drill bit as a kind of backup.
“This happened without consulting Nasa’s team dedicated to avoiding contaminating Mars with Earth bacteria. space-bug Worried scientists at Nasa now estimate that there may be as many as 250,000 bacterial spores that could have survived both the journey to Mars and the landing.”

Conversely, some scientists admit that scholars have no idea just what spores or microbes space travelers or their ships may bring back to earth.  In ‘Protecting Space from Earth and Protecting Earth from Space,’ the guardians.com proclaims:

“Unless we are extremely careful, we may unwittingly bring unwanted and potentially dangerous life forms back to Earth, when we visit other planets and moons in the Solar System. . . micro-organisms can survive in adverse conditions, including those found in space, possibly for prolonged periods.  Long enough to hitch a ride on a spacecraft returning to Earth from an interplanetary mission.”

That site points out that an unknown type of bacteria has shown up twice in thoroughly washed clean rooms of ships returning to earth: “Only the hardiest of microbes can survive inside a spacecraft clean room, where the air is stringently filtered, the floors are cleansed with certified cleaning agents, and surfaces are wiped with alcohol and hydrogen peroxide, then heated to temperatures high enough to kill almost any living thing.” That bacteria cannot be eliminated!

Before men try to ‘conquer’ space, the secrets, solutions and skills needed to survive on earth should have come first.  Space travel’s extreme expense brings little return to earth’s sufferers.  As God asked Job in well-read used Christian Bibles:  “Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth (38: 16)?” If they cannot say ‘yes,’ how can they go elsewhere?

Update of New Outbreaking Diseases in U.S. and Elsewhere

posted by Dr. Ad Versery Bored @ 20:48 PM
April 7, 2014

ebola-disease        Dr. Ad Versery Bored:  Like Ally Feermeno, we must complain about the scant time our editor, Jael, allows us for blog posting. So today, the best we have time and space to do is to summarize what is happening in the world of diseases.

Maleekie Ambulari:  For one thing we know that Ebola Virus is quickly spreading in West Africa.  Dr. Sakoba Keita, head of disease prevention in Guinea  says that of 80 recent deaths there, 59 are suspected to be from that virus.

According to CNN, “The deaths are among the 137 cases reported by the World Health Organization, which said the outbreak has “rapidly evolved” since originating in the forests of southeastern Guinea.”

The disease is thought to come through close contact with infected animals––i.e. chimpanzees, bats, monkeys, etc.  It is usually found in Uganda, South Sudan, Gabon and the Democratic Republic of Congo.  But not this time!

Dr. Bored: Speaking of not this time, we thought we had wiped common diseases like Mumps and Measles in the United States. But some stubborn parents and advocates have brought them back by refusing to vaccinate children.

One pediatrician says of Measles: “Just over a dozen years ago this illness was considered eliminated in our country, and this year people are being hospitalized for it. All due to the hysteria about a safe, effective vaccine.”

Infectious Disease Specialist, Dr. Thomas Sandora of Boston Children’s Hospital warns:  “Measles is essentially the most contagious disease on the planet. It becomes contagious four days before the rash appears, and can remain in the air for  two hours after an infected individual’s left the room.” About 90 percent of non-immunized people if exposed, will become infected, he said.

Maleekie Ambulari: Also, as Russell Saunders writes in ‘Thanks to Anti-Vaxxers, Mumps Are Back. What’s Next?’ that Ohio State University  is suffering an outbreak of Mumps right now. Some of the students may have gotten the first Mumps shot, but not the necessary second one. Saunders claims that people against immunization shots, or ‘anti-vaxxers,’ now also help to bring back Pertussis (whooping cough), diphtheria, and the fatal Haemophilus influenzae disease.

Dr. Bored:  That is a very uncommon flu, known as H flu. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention H-fluadvise:  “Haemophilus influenzae bacteria can affect many organ systems. The most common types of disease caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) bacteria include pneumonia, bacteremia, meningitis, epiglottitis, septic arthritis, cellulitis, otitis media, purulent pericarditis, and other less common infections such as endocarditis and osteomyelitis.”

Ambulari:  Also, as Tomorrow in Review says in ‘Quelling a Global “Tidal Wave” of Disease’: “A ‘tidal wave’ of cancer is about to inundate the world, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Now, 14 million people are annually diagnosed with cancer, but the WHO forecasts that will rise to 24 million by 2035… and much of that increase will come in the developing world.”

Dr. Bored: Soon we will discuss the need to quickly distribute extremely expensive drugs against Hepatitis C which is infecting 180 million victims world-wide. Meanwhile, all must believe what used Christian Bibles say about sickness:

“And ye shall serve The LORD Your God, and He shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee (Exodus 23: 25); “And Jesus went about all Galilee . . . healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people (Matthew 4: 23).” Amen and Amen!

Japan’s Mafia Cleaning up Fukushima As Nation Judged On Whales

posted by admin @ 17:01 PM
April 4, 2014

Japan-yakuza    At least one United Nation’s court has called out Japan for its criminal activities, but it is urgently necessary that other courts and governments require more from Japan when it comes to its careless handling of nuclear waste!

This week, in a12 to 4 vote, the International Court of Justice in the Hague ordered Japan to stop hunting humpback and fin whales in the Southern Ocean. In ‘U.N. Court Orders Japan to Halt Antarctic Whaling,’ Marlise Simons reports:

“[P]residing Judge Peter Tomka of Slovakia said that the present ‘research program,’ . . . has involved the killing of 3,600 minke whales and a number of fin whales, but that its “scientific output to date appears limited,” suggesting Japan’s whaling hunt served political and economic reasons. No research program existed!

There is no appeal of this decision. Japan has not indicated if it will also stop killing whales in other oceans, but it Image:has hinted that it may withdraw from the whaling commission. So when Japan doesn’t like the rules it leaves the club?

That is also apparently Japan’s thinking when it comes to continuous leakage from the Fukushima nuclear facility.  Several U.S. news outlets have revealed that contractors paid to clean up nuclear spills at the damaged plant hired mafia sub-contractors who obtained workers from homeless populations.

In ‘Japanese Mafia Rounds Up Homeless Men To Clean Up Radioactive Waste,’ Hayes Brown exposes:  “Far removed from the spotlight, layers deep in contracts paid for by Japanese taxpayer money, subcontractors hired to help clean up the largest radioactive disaster in Japanese history have taken to rounding up homeless men with the assistance of the Japanese mafia, and paying them less than minimum wage to carry out the potentially deadly labor.”

No less credible, The New York Times presents ‘Unskilled and Destitute Are Hiring Targets for Fukushima Cleanup’ by Hiroko Tabuchi:  “[Tepco has left] the complex cleanup to an often badly managed, poorly trained, demoralized and sometimes unskilled work force that has made some dangerous missteps.
“ . . . a work force often assembled by fly-by-night labor brokers with little technical or safety expertise and even less concern about hiring desperate people. Police and labor activists say some of the most aggressive of the brokers have mob ties.” In response, Tabuchi says, Tepco refuses to disclose whether:

1) Contractors hired illegal labor brokers; 2) Fukushima has had additional leaks; 3) They heeded warning alarms before waste overflows, etc. “Tepco’s deputy chief, Ono, says “it did not occur to us to actually go to the scene to check.”

Tepco’s response to the Times article:  “ . . .[we acknowledge] the need to strengthen our work force at Fukushima Daiichi and are taking many steps to improve pay, working conditions and supervision. But the article’s unfairly negative focus overlooked major achievements of our work force at Fukushima.”

Yeah, but no matter how much one tries to clean up bull manure, it still stinks.  And this stench says Japanese pride will still force it to hunt God’s prized whales, and to continue endangering world populations with carelessly spilt deadly nuclear waste, handled by mafia-controlled poor indigent homeless men.

As the prophet Amos answers in Christian messages, there comes a time in God’s dealings with men when warnings are over:  “The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works (8:7).”

Will Major Nations Finally Heed IPCC Report on Global Warming?

posted by Sarah N Worthy IATTWJ Member @ 17:23 PM
April 2, 2014

global-warming-ice_1213732cLeaked copies of draft copies of the next United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on Global Warming contains harsher realities about its global dangers, rising tides and temperatures, and ‘unrecoverable’ nations.

Suzanne Goldenberg’s article for theguardian.com, ‘IPCC Report: Climate Change Felt ‘On All Continents and Across the Oceans,’ quotes: “Climate change has already left its mark ‘on all continents and across the oceans,’ damaging food crops, spreading disease, and melting glaciers.

Some issues may be in dispute, theguardian.com avers: “But governments have already signed off on the critical finding that climate change is already having an effect, and that even a small amount of warming in the future could lead to ‘abrupt and irreversible changes.’

“. . . changes in climate [cause] impacts on natural and human systems on all continents . . . The gravest . . . was to . . . low-lying coastal areas and small islands, because of storm surges, coastal flooding and sea-level rise. . . people living in large urban areas [are] also at risk from inland flooding [wiping] out homes and businesses, water treatment centers and power plants, [and] extreme heat waves.”

The report also emphasis that food production––from drought, flooding and erratic rainfalls––is at risk; changing ocean chemistries affect fisheries; drought threatens drinking water, and more fierce storms may hit electrical infrastructures.

Although the report said rigorous action may reduce some consequences, perhaps Goldenberg’s words strike the most damning admission of IPCC’s findings: “But the report also acknowledges that a certain amount of warming is already locked in, and that in some instances there is no way to escape the effects of climate change.”  As George Monbiot asks, ‘So, After the IPCC Report, Which Bit of the World Are You Prepared to Lose?” Clearly, he speaks of island nations.

He argues that governments led by capitalistic deniers of Climate Change equate the inevitable lost of smaller island nations with those of insurance actuaries to which businesses, countries and people must adjust––and that is heartless!

In ‘Fiji Leader Invites Climate-hit Kiribati Residents to Relocate,’ AFP’s Staff already reported ‘Fiji Leader Invites Pita Meanke, of Betio village, stands beside a tree as he watches the 'king tides' crash through the sea wall his family built onto his family property, on the South Pacific island of Kiribati.Climate-hit Kiribati Residents to Relocate:’  “If the sea level continues to rise because the international community won’t tackle global warming, some or all of the people of Kiribati may have to come and live in Fiji,” President Epeli Nailatikau said recently.

AFP explores: “Kiribati is among a number of island states––including Tuvalu, Tokelau and the Maldives––that the UN Human Rights Commission is concerned could become “stateless” due to climate change.”

Gardiner Harris’s report coincides with AFP.  In ‘Borrowed Time on Disappearing Land: Facing Rising Seas, Bangladesh Confronts the Consequences of Climate Change,’ Harris reveals:  “Bangladesh, with its low elevation and severe tropical storms, is among the countries most vulnerable to the effects of climate change, though it has contributed little to the emissions that are driving it.”

Frankly, this blogger tires of IPCC’s reports. Obviously, leaders of major countries do not care about their poorer neighbors.  Wholesale Christian Bibles guarantee an end for such indifference:  “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy (Proverbs 29: 1.”

Dog Treats From China Still Killing America’s Pets

posted by Shopping4Bargains @ 17:56 PM
April 1, 2014

dog-treats-China    Dr. Butterman:  This week scientists at the Federal Drug and Administration admitted that they still don’t know how dog treats imported from China are killing America’s pets.  The Animal Kids here are furious that nothing is being done.

Lucy Lip:  “Furious” ain’t the word Pop. if you adults don’t do something about this pronto, we kids with animals and our friends are going on strike!  Why are these pet foods still coming here from China anyway?  That’s super stupid!

John J., Jr.: Please forgive her Dr. Butterman.  But she does speak for all the kids. It is sometimes difficult for me to contain them. They only calm down when Rev. Repriestly is there to counsel and teach them and to pray with them.

Dr. Butterman:  Brady Dennis reveals a few days ago in ‘Mystery of Pet Deaths Related to Jerky Treats Made in China Continues to Stump FDA,’ that officials know this disease is “Fanconi syndrome, a rare, often fatal illness that affects the kidneys.” They suspect it comes from chicken pet treats from China.

And these killer pet treats have been known for years.  Dennis writes: “Since 2007, when the FDA warned of an apparent link between jerky treats and sick and dying dogs, agency officials have spent countless hours trying to nail down what might be behind the illnesses, with little success.”

Dennis explains:  “Officials said there’s no clear pattern based on breed or geography—pets have been sickened in every state, as well as in countries such as Australia—and the problems don’t seem specific to any particular brand.”

Agency spokesmen say: “Until the agency is able to zero in on a specific toxin, officials say, it can do little more than warn people about the potential dangers of jerky treats. Unless a contaminant is detected and we have evidence that a product is adulterated, we are limited in what regulatory actions we can take.”

John J., Jr.:  But get this: when China first exported this mess here in 2003, it was only a million pounds a year.  By 2011 it was 86 million pounds.  God only knows how much is coming here now and is hawked on T.V. for people to buy.

Lucy Lip:  Yeah and since then this garbage has killed 600 dogs and cats, and made 3,600 more sick. That’s what vets told FDA anyway.  And all because these jerky companies sell stuff made from chicken, duck, sweet potato and some fruit-flavored stuff. Arghh. If it were any other country, that junk would be banned.

John J., Jr.: She’s right doc.  Last year, Huffington Post reported that in New York state jerky treats were pulled jerky-211x300 (2)after a “lab found trace amounts of six types of antibiotics in chicken jerky treats made in China.” Five of those antibiotics are banned in this country.  So once this is known, why keep bring that stuff over here?

Dr. Butterman:  Well, in that regard, laceybarkery.com recommends that people start petitioning major food chains––i.e. Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Target, Costco, Safeway, etc.––to take pet treats off their shelves.  “FDA has had over 2200 complaints of poisoning and the manufacturers refuse to act . . .”

So, as wholesale Christian kids t-shirts say, it is in times like these that we must remember to pray and follow God’s Word.  He cares about our pets just as He cares about us: “For thus saith The LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts (2 Kings 3; 17).”
