Nations Refuse to Prepare for the Worst of Global Warming

Andrew-hurricane-was-here        Cecil Certifier:  Hey Sarah have you seen the new reports that Climate Change is going to get worse, much less harsher earthquakes, tornadoes, etc.? But nations still refuse to prepare for it. Now, that is certifiably insane!

Sarah Newsworthy:  Yes, you’re right Cecil, it is insane. Justin Gillis‘ account of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change titled, ‘Panel’s Warning on Climate Risk: Worst Is Yet to Come’ warns:  The report . . . concluded “. . . ice caps are melting, sea ice in the Arctic is collapsing, water supplies are coming under stress, heat waves and heavy rains are intensifying,

“. . . coral reefs are dying, and fish and many other creatures are migrating toward the poles or . . . going extinct. The oceans are rising at a pace that threatens coastal communities and are becoming more acidic as they absorb some of the carbon dioxide given off by cars and power plants, which is killing some creatures or stunting their growth. Organic matter frozen in Arctic soils since before civilization began is now melting, allowing it to decay into greenhouse gases that will cause further warming, the scientists said. And the worst is yet to come!”

Cecil:  And yet governments around the world refuse to prepare for that worst!  For instance, in ‘Millions of Lives at Risk as Governments Fail to Adopt Disaster Warning System,’ SPX News reports:

“World leaders are failing to adopt advanced early warning systems that could save millions of lives.  Technological breakthroughs mean that mobile phones can be used to alert millions of people–– in a designated locality, pinpointing precise warnings––to impending perils such as tsunamis and typhoons.

“But with a few notable exceptions, governments have been too slow to appreciate the life-saving potential of cheap and simple warning systems that could have eased the 3,600 death toll from the Philippines Haiyan typhoon.”

Sarah: People need to know exactly what can happen in such emergencies.  Mike Adams of advises that in such emergencies: 1) Severed water lines can cut off water supplies; 2) Phone communications and cell towers could be disabled; 3) Damaged power grids may eliminate electricity and heat;

4) Criminals could run wild overwhelming police; 5) Firemen, ambulance services and hospitals could be over-extended as well; 6) Freeways and roads may be whipped out preventing access to homes; and 7) Gas stations would probably run out of fuel, etc. etc. etc. multiplied!

Cecil: Wow!  This is serious! News reports are filled with examples of each one of those things happening in this major-disastercountry in the last few decades! Most of these system failures even occurred when Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast in 2012, or a dozen other of Nature’s rampages I could name.

Sarah: So Cecil, will publish various emergency steps that nations, cities, individuals and families can take to prepare for such disasters, such as use of cell phones for notices as mentioned above.

Cecil:  And as Rev. Repriestly would say, the best preparation is to dwell on God’s Word in wholesale Christian Bibles and pray: “ . . . prepare your hearts unto The LORD, and serve Him only: and He will deliver you out of the hand of . . . [your enemies] (1 Samuel 23: 22).” And Global Warming events are one of the greatest enemies of this century!
