Perhaps officials in politically divided Atlanta and Georgia didn’t want to believe that streets and highways would turn into miles of ceaseless ice; that three inches of icy snow would shut down commercial, educational, and transportation services, etc.––because few considered that Dennis Quad’s movie, ‘Day After Tomorrow’ may be a true depiction of the winters Global Warming can bring.
In his lines, Quad’s fictional character kept repeating Global Warming, but no one believes him––not the government, not fellow scientists, and not even movie watchers. It was after all just fiction, wasn’t it? But this year’s Polar Vortex storms dispute the skepticism of those non-believers.
With explicit photographs shown here, in ‘Definitive Proof That The Polar Vortex Is “The Day After Tomorrow,” Christina Coleman of globalgrind.com asks:
“So remember that 2004 film called The Day After Tomorrow? The one where Dennis Quaid, aka paleoclimatologist Jack Hall, goes on a cross-country trip to save his son . . . from a storm that throws the world into a new Ice Age?
“Well . . . polar vortex anyone? I mean meteorologists are warning that exposed human flesh will freeze in a matter of seconds––[stuff] is getting real. . . these negative 40 temperatures are clearly an indication . . . that the weather phenomenons that occur in the movie are happening now.”
Hmmm. Most American politicians don’t want to believe things are that bad, although in this new year they are using the term Global Warming more than ever. Certainly Georgia, Florida, Alabama, etc., didn’t believe such cold weather would touch them. But now it is no longer a matter of ‘belief.’
Shamefully, the same scientists who claim the worse of Global Warming is 40 or 50 years away, or who are paid by corporations to constantly deny that such Climate Change even exists––they deny the movie is a true predictor as well.
Even after climatesight.org writes to disprove Quad’s film in ‘The Day After Tomorrow: A Scientific Critique,’ they have to admit that much of what the film claims is legitimate: “Jack [Quad’s character] describe[s] this ancient climate shift. As the world was coming out of the last glacial period . . melting ice sheets added so much freshwater to the Atlantic Ocean that certain ocean currents shut down.”
Can anyone deny that melting glaciers now quickly raise ocean levels? “Jack’s portrayal of the event is surprisingly accurate: a sudden change in climate did occur around ten thousand years ago, and was most likely caused by the mechanisms he describes. To scientists, it is known as the Younger Dryas.”
Younger Dryas––named for a flower preserved in the ice––lasted for thousands of years. Climatesight at best gives weak denials about Quad’s movie: “Jack’s statements regarding the plausibility of an imminent Gulf Stream shutdown due to global warming fly in the face of current scientific understanding. However, a complete shutdown of the Gulf Stream is extremely unlikely within this century.”
That’s not much reassurance for much of the world that is either hit by this frantically freezing Polar Vortex or sweltering in 100º plus degree heat. Surely, as one wholesale Christian sweatshirt espouses: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men (1 Timothy 2: 1).” Indeed it is time to pray for all of us in this world!
The tragic horror of children stranded on freezing buses, or sleeping on cold school gym floors, or of adults stuck in frozen cars for hours, and now days, proves the point of our years of crying out about Global Warming: Even after decades of warning met with denial and rejection, the U.S. is unprepared for Global Warming––not its glaring hot temperatures, and not its sub-zero freezing storms.
People watch T.V. sets with amazement. Erin McClam and M. Alex Johnson of NBC News explains: “Up north, snowplows are armadas—hundreds of them that fan out over and over to clear the streets during the punishing storms of winter. If they’re handled carelessly, there’s political hell to pay.”
But not so in the South where a winter storm filled with ice and snow swept from Texas to Virginia, and even sending sub-zero with wind-chills weather as far south as Georgia and even Florida. And the nation watches a winter horror where traffic is piled up in long lines for days throughout the greater Atlanta area.
b98.com posits “ . . . the hardest hit states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama. The southeast, which has already gotten hit with arctic blasts during this colder than usual winter, was pounded with ice and snow that seemed to catch everyone off guard, particularly communities that don’t have access to sand and salt trucks that keep roads from becoming slick and dangerous.
“Georgia reported close to a thousand wrecks alone in the Atlanta-metro area with more than 100 injuries. Gov. Nathan Deal urged motorists in affected areas to stay off the roads Wednesday.”
Moreover NBC says: “ . . . in the Atlanta area, a traffic officer delivered a baby late Tuesday afternoon in the back seat of the car for a couple who were stranded in icy conditions on Interstate 285 in the suburb of Sandy Springs. [That City’s] police said mom and baby, who weren’t identified, were doing fine.”
The Associated Press and Canadian Broadcasting Company quote people suffering in the frozen mess: “It’s like a big sheet of ice everywhere. It’s craziness. People are abandoning their cars . . . Most people sat the entire night with no food, no water, no bathroom. We saw people who had children. It was a dire situation.”
Of course, more than 3,000 air flights have been cancelled, especially in the southern U.S. And, by last count, these freezing clogs killed nine adults and children, including trailer fires, truck accidents, and ice skid crashes.
Political leaders in the south excuse their unpreparedness on “rare” freezing weather, lack of snow equipment and salt supplies, and inadequate weather reporting. But the truth is, all of America is unprepared for such storms because its national, state and city leaders have ignored the realities of Global Warming.
Americans must demand leaders who admit the obvious: As Global Warming increases its grip on the earth, it must be resisted. As used Christian books warn: “For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led !of them are destroyed (Isaiah 9: 16).” In American democracy people can still change leaders.
Economists now warn that this country and the world faces an economic crisis on January 31st. In fact, this seething financial crisis already affects the U.S. and other nations. Tightening strings at the Federal Reserve, falling stock market prices, horrid holiday sales and declines of major department stores––i.e. Sears and J.C. Penny––high unemployment, etc. have politicians here and abroad worried.
The Economic Collapse wrote yesterday: “This time, the Federal Reserve has created a truly global problem. . . . now that the Fed has decided to begin “the taper”, investors see it as a sign to pull the “hot money” out of emerging markets as rapidly as possible. . . This is causing currencies to collapse and interest rates to soar all over the planet. . . last week emerging market currencies experienced the biggest decline that we have seen since the financial crisis of 2008.
“If this continues, we will eventually see looting, violence, blackouts, shortages of basic supplies, and runs on the banks in emerging markets all over the planet just like we are already witnessing in Argentina and Venezuela.”
As Michael Snyder says in ‘The $23 Trillion Credit Bubble In China Is Starting To Collapse––Global Financial Crisis Next?,’ “ . . . financial institutions all over the world are warning that we could see a “mega default” on a very prominent high-yield investment product in China on January 31st? . . .
“ . . . this could lead to a cascading collapse of the shadow banking system in China which could potentially result in ‘sky-high interest rates’ and ‘a precipitous plunge in credit’. In other words, it could be a “Lehman Brothers moment” for Asia. And since the global financial system is more interconnected today than ever before, that would be very bad news for the United States as well.”
Furthermore, Reuters News Service reports China may not pay its bills: “ The trust firm responsible for a troubled high-yield investment product sold through China’s largest banks has warned investors they may not be repaid when the 3 billion-yuan ($496 million) product matures on Jan. 31.” Forbes agrees:
“A WMP default, whether relating to Liansheng or Zhenfu, could devastate the Chinese banking system and the larger economy as well. In short, China’s growth since the end of 2008 has been dependent on ultra-loose credit first channeled through state banks, like ICBC and Construction Bank, and then through the WMPs, which permitted the state banks to avoid credit risk.
“China is not the only place in the world where financial trouble signs are erupting. Things in Europe just keep getting worse, and we have just learned that the largest bank in Germany just suffered ‘a surprise fourth-quarter loss’.”
Tyler Durden of Zero Hedge has been screaming declines were coming for months. This week he wrote, ‘What Recovery? U.S. Retail Stores Now in Grim Death Spiral.’ He writes that both stores are closing thousands of stores and laying off scores of employees, and other retailers are not far behind.
How long did politicians think declining cities, declining retailers, hurricane and tornado ravished regions, etc. would not take its toll? Time is running out for them to considering taking better care of this country. As Rev. Repriestly cries, “It is time for people to trust in God, not in the things of this world.” Used Christian books agrees: “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember The Name of The LORD Our God (Psalm 20: 7).” Amen, and Amen!
National media does not admit it, but an usually high number of Americans are dying from attacks of swine flu this winter, particularly children. While flu cases speed up around the country, Texas and California are particularly hard hit.
Marina Lopes of Reuters reports from the Center for Disease Control [CDC] in ‘Seasonal Flu Spreading Quickly This Year in the United States’: “Nearly half of the United States is reporting widespread influenza activity, most of it attributed to the H1N1 virus that caused a worldwide pandemic in 2009.”
CDC’s Dr. Joe Bresee adds: “We are seeing a big uptick in disease in the past couple of weeks. The virus is all around the United States right now. There is still a lot of season to come.” Thus he recommends people get vaccinated now.
In ‘Dramatic Rise in Flu Deaths Reported by California Health Officials,’
Soumya Karlamangla discloses: “State health officials reported Friday that California influenza deaths this flu season have doubled to 95, with an additional 51 cases likely to be confirmed next week. That would put this year’s number of flu fatalities so far at 146. At this time last year, nine deaths had been confirmed, and only 106 were confirmed by the end of the season.”
Dr. Gil Chavez, California epidemiologist says; “So far we have a much more severe season. In part, the gap between this year’s deaths and the number of deaths at this time last year is because this year’s season struck early. . . this year’s predominant flu strain is H1N1 ‘swine flu,’ which is more deadly than other strains. Seventy-five of this year’s 95 confirmed deaths were caused by H1N1.”
Chavez explains that H1N1 swine flu aims particularly at young adults. Ashley Hayes of CNN argues further that widespread flu activity is now in 35 states––an increase of 10 states in in a week. “ ‘Widespread’ means that more than 50% of geographic regions in a state––counties, for example––are reporting flu activity. The most severe activity was seen in parts of the South and Southwest.”
Hayes emphasizes hospitals are overwhelmed with flu victims: “In some areas, including central Texas and the San Francisco Bay Area, overflow tents have been set up to handle flu patients.” CDC does not keep records on adult flu deaths.
However: “A total of 10 influenza-related child deaths have been reported since September 29. . . The CDC has estimated that from 1976 through 2007, between 3,000 and 49,000 people died of flu-related causes.”
She passes on CDC advise: “Antiviral medications are a good treatment if you do get sick, Jhung said, particularly those at high risk for complications. Ideally, antivirals should be started within two days of when symptoms appear.”
Ministries of healings must return to The Body of Christ in the United States. Mark 3: 14 – 15 in wholesale Christian Bibles identifies the missions of Christ’s servants: “And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach, And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.” These ‘new’ diseases will soon overwhelm traditional physicians, medicines and other ‘accepted’ remedies. And only God will be The Healer.
Now as to the issue of dark matter, another illusive ‘fact’ in space ‘science’, one that supposedly composes 96 percent of the universe. Astronomers cannot see it or prove it exists, yet they claim to ‘map’ this dark matter.
Corey S. Powell, editor at large for Discover magazine, explains: “Dark matter makes up much of the cosmos, yet no one knows exactly what it is.” Yet, he claims physicists are close to solving this ‘mystery.’ As I asked yesterday, why?
Dr. Rick Gaitskell, physics professor at Brown University, leads a team operating the man-made Large Underground Xenon (LUX) operating inside the mile long Homestake Gold Mine, trying to find some dozen pieces of dark matter.
LUX costs $10 million, and Gaitskell has been looking for the illusive matter for 24 years, and his million dollar testimony about his goal: “Every experiment has reported essentially negative results. No one even knows for sure if the damn stuff really exists.”
In “A Shot in the Dark: Detector On the Hunt for Dark Matter,” Science Daily posits the University of Washington’s Center for Experimental Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics will find ‘matter’ because they look in a smaller place:
“Since the 1930s, scientists have believed there must be some unseen but massive substance, a sort of gravitational glue, that prevents rotating galaxies from spinning apart. Axions, if they in fact do exist, are candidates for the makeup of cold dark matter that would act as that gravitational glue.
“The aim of the Axion Dark Matter Experiment is to search for cold dark matter axions in the halo of the Milky Way galaxy by detecting the very weak conversion of axions into microwave photons.”
Moreover, a conference organized by the Kavli Institute at U.C. Santa Barbara concluded: “There is an emerging consensus that a robust and accurate identification of dark matter will probably require the combination of multiple probes. . . . . . the characterization of the particle making up the cosmological dark matter will require an approach based on the combination of multiple probes: colliders (LHC), cosmology (WMAP, Planck, and other CMB and large scale structure determinations of the relic dark matter abundance),
“ . . . direct detection experiments (CDMS, XENON, Zeplin, WARP, ArDM and others) and indirect detection experiments––such as gamma ray detectors (Fermi from space and Cherenkov Telescopes from the ground), neutrino telescopes (IceCube, Antares), antimatter detectors (Pamela, AMS-02), as well as X-ray and radio facilities.” Ahhh. Many more millions spent, rather wasted.
Why do they seek dark matter? Do they plan to build another universe? Can Discover magazine or Science Daily give the public a reasoned argument as to why such expensive experiments are more important than taking care of Mother Earth?
This is the major commandment God gave to man: take care of earth and all in it. Instead some ‘wise’ men want to meddle into God’s business, taking resources from His earthly creation without giving reason. They should beware! Bible prophecies say of Infinite God: “To whom then will ye liken Me, or shall I be equal? saith The Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold Who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: He calleth them all . . .
. . . by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one faileth. . .Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that The Everlasting God, The LORD, The Creator of the Ends of the Earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding (Isaiah 40:25- 28).”
Toure Neblett, known as Toure on MSNBC News-Talk Show ‘The Cycle’ as Toure, let the ‘cat out of the bag’ on their show today by suggesting that these vicious snow storms from the Polar Vortex are more signs of Global Warming.
While previously he and the other three hosts had simply complained about the cold weather and difficulties of commuting to work in such weather, they had previously chatted or joked about the conditions, but Toure said he was uncomfortable in not treating the storms’ cause as Global Warming.
Good for him, but his outburst simply points up the fact that major networks, newspapers and other organs en masse avoid mention of Global Warming as they ‘scientifically’ discuss horrific weather crossing this and other countries in the last few years. The question is why?
The answer: Wealthy commercial interests control news makers, politicians, and other public relations factors in the U.S. Those interests intend to keep the American public ignorant about the main cause for such violent weather events.
While they recite stories about individual weather anomalies, reporters, such as Toure, are also expected to be ignorant, or at least to be quiet, about the source of such weather. In ‘TV News and Extreme Weather: Don’t Mention Climate Change,’ fair.org, of Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting, makes the ‘rules’ clear:
“Dramatic weather-related disasters are ready made for TV news. But what’s not on the screen? The human-made climate change that is affecting, and in some cases exacerbating, that extreme weather.
“. . . national network newscasts (CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News, ABC World News) finds that extreme weather is big news. In the first nine months of 2013, there were 450 segments of 200 words or more that covered extreme weather: flooding, forest fires, tornadoes, blizzards, hurricanes and heat waves.
But of that total, just a tiny fraction––4 percent of the total–so much as mentioned the words ‘climate change,’ ‘global warming’ or ‘greenhouse gases. . .”
In ‘America’s Media Loves Global Warming Skeptics,’ Michael Byrne says American media spends more print and air space on skeptics of Global Warming than they do on scientific reports: “So, climate change skepticism gets undue attention in the US media, but is it just the US? . . . the answer is a qualified “yes.”
Byrne bases his article on a lengthy study, ‘Cross-national Comparison of the Presence of Climate Skepticism in the Print Media in Six Countries, 2007–10, by James Painter and Teresa Ashe, who conclude: “ . . . news coverage of skepticism is mostly limited to the USA and the UK . . .
“ . . . the type of skeptics who question whether global temperatures are warming are almost exclusively found in the US and UK newspapers. Skeptics who challenge the need for robust action to combat climate change also have a much stronger presence in the media of the same two countries.”
In Christian prayer books, The LORD Jesus insists the light of truth must be shared: “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light (Luke 11: 33).” So that lives can be saved, Christians must pray for more light about Global Warming. Surely, God will punish those who suppress the light.
Oh, for the days of scientists like Isaac Newton who had too much respect for God to try to get into the roots of His creations, or even to presume they have a right to. Instead, today’s scientists––most trained without moral, humanistic or Judeo-Christian inclusions––presume they must know everything about everything, regardless of rhyme, reason or the resulting good for mankind.
Some of them now spend untold millions of dollars otherwise desperately needed in a poor economy looking for what they call “dark matter.” Other’s try to crack particles so they can trap the secrets of the Infinite God’s creativity.
Since they call it the ‘God Particle,’ the group of scientists chasing the Higgs Boson assume this discovery enables them to understand the origin of mass. Or as Clara Moskowitz of Live Science explains in ‘God Particle’: Six Big Consequences of the Higgs Boson Discovery’:
“Confirming the particle is a Higgs would also confirm that the Higgs mechanism for particles to acquire mass is correct. . . . And, it may offer clues to the next mystery down the line, which is why individual particles have the masses that they do.” And how, one must ask, would such knowledge benefit mankind?
Harvard professor Lisa Randall’s explanation just puts more darkness into their cloudy searches: “That could be part of a much larger theory . . . Knowing what the Higgs boson is, is the first step of knowing a little more about what that theory could be. It’s connected.” So governments and universities now spend millions of dollars for mysteries and theories. For what reasons? To whose benefit?
Next, Moskowitz ‘clarifies’: “So far, the Higgs boson seems to match up with predictions made by the Standard Model, [which] itself isn’t thought to be complete. It doesn’t encompass gravity, for example, and leaves out the dark matter thought to make up 98 percent of all matter in the universe.” Patty McBride, head of the CMS Center adds: “Clear evidence that the new particle is the Standard Model Higgs Boson still would not complete our understanding of the universe.”
Why must “we” understand the universe? “We” didn’t make it. “We” don’t live in most of it? “We” will never travel through it? “We” don’t even know the oceans of the planet “we” do live on. What are “we” scientists doing to solve such ‘earthy’ problems as Global Warming, polluted air, melting glaciers, etc.?
Some science reporters recognize that such ‘nosiness’ is indeed dangerous at its core: As Saswato R. Das explains in ‘How the Higgs Boson Might Spell Doom for the Universe’: “Under the simplest assumptions, the measured mass of the Higgs could mean the universe is unstable and destined to fall apart.”
Das explains that some more rational scientists are shaken by the Higgs Boson discovery and could care less about dark matter. Theorist Joseph Lykken from the Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory in Illinois tells Das:
“If you use all the physics that we know now and you do what you think is a straightforward calculation, it is bad news. It may be that the universe we live in is inherently unstable.” Das adds: “It has to do with the so-called vacuum stability in the Standard Model.” So scientists rattling the universe initiate earth’s destruction?
Oh that they had Newton’s respect for God, or better they would know Him through His Son, Jesus. As online Bible lessons teach: “Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: (Isaiah 40: 21-22).”
The Polar Vortex has once again escaped out of the North Pole to visit below-freezing cold and snow to the mid-West and Northwest U.S., while at the same time California’s drought could use some of that Vortex’s water.
Long term economic effects of these extremely cold temperatures are so far uncalculated, but agricultural scientists express fear that California, as the source for much of the food in this country, and the world, is severely threatened.
Lindsay Abrams of Salon.com attests: “The year 2013 was California’s driest on record, featuring the least rainfall since the state started keeping track in 1849. And so far, 2014 is off to a bad start. A full 63 percent of the state is in extreme drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor—up from 23 percent just last week and extending into northwestern Nevada.
Water levels in mountain snowpacks, reservoirs, and rivers are down upwards to 40%. “It’s really serious,” California Gov. Jerry Brown warned. “In many ways it’s a mega-drought; it’s been going on for a number of years.”
He has declared the state in a major drought disaster and applied for federal aide. Haeyoun Park writes for The New York Times: “Signs of drought are everywhere, affecting vast sectors of the economy. A sense of dread is building among farmers, many whom have already let fields go fallow.
“Without more water, an estimated 200,000 acres of prime agriculture land will go unplanted . . . Cattle ranchers accustomed to letting cows graze on rain-fed grass . . . rely on bought hay or reduce their herds.” And the lack of rain brings wild forest fires to the state in January––fires they don’t expect until August.
California churches have resorted to prayer for rain. Park reports: “Clergy of all faiths have been exhorting the faithful to pray for precipitation. ‘May God open the heavens, and let his mercy rain down upon our fields and mountains.’” Requests for God’s intervention include Protestants, Jews, Catholics and Muslims.
Downplaying Polar Vortex, Chris Dolce of Weather.com admits: “This next blast of Arctic air will push southward across the Canadian border and into Upper Midwest, Great Lakes and the interior Northeast Sunday night through Monday. Tuesday through Thursday, this cold air mass will anchor from the Northern Plains to the Upper Mississippi Valley, Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and Northeast.
“These regions that will see temperatures 10 to 25 degrees below average, during the coldest time of year. Parts of Southeast will also see temperatures, 5 to 15 degrees below average Tuesday through Friday, . . . 20 degrees below the norm on Thursday.” Thus he predicts lows of -23º in Minneapolis, -16º in Chicago, -12º in Albany. In the Midwest, New York and New England subzero will be the norm.
Leviticus 26 in wholesale Christian Bibles records God’s conditions for weather blessings: “If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.” If conditions are not met:
“But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; . . . your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall . . .the land yield their fruits (2-4, 20).” To send the rain and stop the ice takes true repentance!
Sub-zero temperatures in most of North America, searing hot weather in parts of Asia and South America, animals falling dead from heat in Australia, other animals in Brazil eating ice, seas instantly freezing in Norway, extreme heat hitting South Africa––the year 2014 continues the whacky weather around the world.
A Climate Council Report to be released next month reveals: “Heat-waves in Australia are becoming more frequent, are increasing in intensity and are lasting longer.” Some forecasters expect temperatures there to break 50C, or +122•F. Around that nation, some 100,000 dead bats have fallen dead from trees.
Sarah Perkins and Will Steffen, authors of the Report add: “We are experiencing between one to three extra heatwave days a year, compared to the long term average, which doesn’t sound like a lot but it doesn’t need many of these days to kill people or cause damage . . .
“Heat-waves have significant impacts on our health, our infrastructure, our agriculture and our ecosystems. Australia has always had hot weather. However, climate change is loading the dice toward more extreme hot weather.”
Officials called a four-hour halt to the Australian [Tennis] Open today as temperatures exceeded 43.3 Celsius (+109.9F) and fierce lightening struck. asia.eurosport.com writes the hotter weather finally broke when lightning and thunder hit the Melbourne courts:
“Organizers, who had been slammed for forcing players to play on in searing temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday, enacted the third stage of their “Extreme Heat Policy” for the first time . . . .” Also, Reuters there report “A large number of kangaroos, parrots and emus were reportedly found dead . . .” from the heat!
During the recent Polar Vortex, temperatures dropped to 60 below zero with wind chills in the U.S. At least 16 Americans died in Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois. Americans everywhere said they had never seen temperatures so cold.
Norway public radio shouted out that cold of -17.96•F and “a strong east wind froze the sea water instantly, trapping and killing the fish you can see in this fish-apocalyptic image.” Herrings chased by cormorant enemies froze instantly.
In Brazil, temperatures also soars to +120•F, so hot that zoo keepers feed animals ice pops. They add eat and chilled fruits for larger ones. Around the world, workers try to handle people and animals in these extreme temperatures.
Of course, like their counterparts in Australia, leaders of nations around the world either deny or ignore these Global Warming weather changes. But they should ask animals everywhere. Animals know this is whacky weather.
Surely God did not intend for beasts to be smarter than people. However, these reports demonstrate just how far away from truth modern man has fallen. As used Christian Bibles predict: “But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption (2 Peter 2: 12).”
If indeed most preachers and television evangelists avoid mention of increasing earthquakes, tornadoes, wild fires, etc. caused by Global Warming, as evidence that this generation lives in the last days, the question is why?
After all, even professing Christian leaders with modicum knowledge of the Bible should be aware that man’s time on earth is scheduled to end after 2,000 years, and this new century puts that ruler-ship beyond that period. Several Bible references symbolize one day to a thousand years.
“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day (2 Peter 3: 8).” In Luke 10, when the good Samaritan pays an inn two pence to care for the wounded man, and promises to return if additional funds are needed. One pence is equal to one day’s wages. Thus, The LORD’s reference here symbolizes two thousand years.
Hosea saw times beyond those ‘two days’ giving more time for men to repent: “Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up. After two days will He revive us: in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight (6: 1 – 2).”
Such Scriptures indicate that The LORD Jesus will rapture, or call, true Christians to join Him in heaven in this “third day.” But before that He will send authentic spiritual revival on earth. But religious leaders who avoid discussing the many affects of Global Warming actual block such revival because their audiences see no real need to change their ways and wholly surrender to God.
Even when Jesus, The Ultimate Revivalist, was on earth, religious leaders constantly resisted, accused, and threatened Him, primarily because they did not want to lose control of funds flowing into their religious coffers.
Moreover, such desire for control extended to reverence for material objects, such as altars, outwardly clean cups, and the temple. They organized worship services around money, and other material, rather than spiritual realities.
But showing no reverence for much falderal, Jesus ran money changers and dove sellers out of the temple, while shouting to the Pharisees: “It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves (Matthew 21: 13).” And they hated Him for that. Those leaders resisted God!
Claiming ignorance of the spirit world, instead of acknowledging His power for healing and deliverance, they yelled: “This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils (Matthew 12: 24.” Ultimate blasphemy!
But, as many wholesale Christian t-shirts declare, they could not overcome Him: “In Him was Life; and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not (John 1: 4 – 5).”
Today’s preachers had best admit that Global Warming is real, and allow God’s Holy Spirit to revive His Church (i.e. it is not their Church) and shepherd more people into His kingdom, or they could face judgment as Pharisees.
