Main Stream Media Ignored Massacre of 85 Christians in Pakistan

September 30, 2013

massacre-Christians-Pakistan-2    All staff refrained from writing about the 85 Christians slaughtered outside of their church in Pakistan a week ago to see what main stream media would report about the massacre.  But that wait could be forever.  They have said nothing!

This is beyond absurd! It is not because news in other parts of the world took up the space, because earthquakes in Pakistan a few days later were aptly covered.  Thus, conclude that U.S. media and its government persuaders care more about mall deaths in Kenya, earthquakes in Pakistan, anything anywhere besides two Muslims mercilessly exploding bombs on Christians outside of God’s church.

Earth Ending knows about the massacre because the Associated Press, Foreign Policy Magazine, and other ‘minor’ internet accesses wrote about it.  But seldom a word in The New York Times (NYT), Washington Post, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc.––the same entities that spent days on Muslims killing sixty-plus people in Kenya.  The question is why?

Other than a short story in NYT’s ‘Asia Pacific’ section, the only mention of Christians killed by Muslims in mainstream print press comes from Colbert I. King, a Washington Post ‘Opinion Writer.’ And he solely discusses those Christians sacrificed during the Kenyan Mall deaths.  Even in the Mall killings, official print and TV outlets concentrated solely on ‘non-Muslims’ killed in that slaughter.

While the number of deaths was later increased, Associated Press (AP) wrote on September 22, the day of the church bombings:  “A pair of suicide bombers blew themselves up amid hundreds of worshippers at a historic church in northwestern Pakistan on Sunday, killing 78 people in the deadliest-ever attack against the country’s Christian minority.

“A wing of the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing.  The attack on the All Saints Church, which Woman-Anguish-Christian-Bombingwounded 141 people, occurred as worshippers were leaving after services to get a free meal of rice offered on the front lawn, said a top government administrator, Sahibzada Anees.”

To our knowledge, television pastors have not mentioned this and other massacres of their fellow Christians. Perhaps they are not concerned because the 85 murdered Pakistani Christians are of a different denomination or race than these pastors represent. Hmm. No question. That excuse won’t work with God!

One explanation for major blackout of news about the 85 believers blown to bits is:  “The Jundullah arm of the Taliban said they would continue to target non-Muslims until the United States stopped drone attacks in Pakistan’s remote tribal region. The latest drone strike came Sunday, when missiles hit a pair of compounds in the North Waziristan tribal area, killing six suspected militants (AP).”

Of course, the Taliban will face God’s judgment.  But those who claim the Name of Christ, and the identity of being a Christian nation, have far more to answer for.  As Apostle Paul sets example in Christian prayer books: “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named (Ephesians 3: 14 – 15).”

Talking About Misplaced Priorities: To the Moon & Then Bust! Pt 2

posted by Jael Ever @ 13:32 PM
September 27, 2013

Tiles-Rememberence-9-11 Based on reader responses to the last blog about inept emergency service preparation indicates proof is needed to justify criticism that America’s government has misplaced priorities––communications on the moon, not on earth.

That blog mentioned failures of radio communication during America’s 9/11 crisis.  A July, 2002, New York Times story by Jim Dwyer, Kevin Flynn and Ford Fessenden proves that 9/11 workers died because of poor radio communication:

“Those clear warnings, captured on police radio tapes, were transmitted 21 minutes before the building fell, and officials say they were relayed to police officers, most of whom managed to escape. Yet most firefighters never heard those warnings, or earlier orders to get out.

“Their radio system failed frequently that morning. Even if the radio network had been reliable, it was not linked to the police system. And the police and fire commanders guiding the rescue efforts did not talk to one another during the crisis. . . . Cut off from critical information, at least 121 firefighters, most in striking distance of safety, died when the north tower fell, an analysis by The New York Times has found.”

That analysis further mentioned that eight years earlier in the 1993 bombing at the New York Trade Center, again Fire Department communications failed.  It turns out:  “The radios the firefighters carried into the buildings that day were identical to be the ones they had brought into the trade center eight years earlier.”

The reporters also found:  “Other cities have been no swifter at solving the problems of communication at high-rise fires, industry professionals said.”  This is not just a ‘city’ problem.  Why does this nation need a Homeland Security Department if it can’t fix communications problems between city agencies?

As if 9/11 were not enough, the exact same thing happened during the fall out of massive damages inflicted by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in and near New Orleans. In ‘Disaster’s Wake,’ reveals: “Louisiana had a system based on incident command, but did not utilize it.”

Enough of this! The 12 people killed by a crazed lone gunman. while radio communications between police and rescueNAVY-YARD-SHOOTING-2 workers didn’t work, was not in New York or New Orleans.  They were slain in the nation’s capital, Washington D.C.!

Such ineptitude must stop!  If communications specialists in the government. can’t fix this problem, let the U.S. ‘draft’ specialists from AT & T,  Microsoft, Apple, NASA, etc.  Since Homeland Security hasn’t done it, somebody please help!!!

If there was ever a time to pray for America, the time is now.  As Apostle Paul instructs in Christian prayer books:  “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty (1 Timothy 2: 1 – 2).”

Oregon & New Zealand Prepare For Massive Earthquakes

posted by Newsworthy and Seerfar @ 9:58 AM
September 25, 2013

130314_tsumani_drill_660    Well at least one state in the U.S., Oregon, is telling people the truth about what to expect from earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, etc. and other coming disasters.  Others in states and the nation merely make empty promises of funds to rebuild.

A report from the Oregon Seismic Safety Policy Advisory Commission warns a massive earthquake and tsunami is poised to strike the Northwest coast potentially killing some 10,000 people, with town-destroying floods, and some $ 32 billion in damages.  And state geologists demand that people get ready for it!

The state sits on a major fault line, says Althea Rizzo from the Oregon Office of Emergency Management: “Single-family homes will bounce off their foundations. Landslides will cause transportation between I-5 and (Highway) 101 on the coast to be cut off for three to five years.”

She adds the expected quake will liquify the ground into pudding, collapsing sewer systems, septic tanks and gas lines.  “Most of these were built in the mid-20th century, with no thought to making them quake-resistant, . . .  they would be offline for at least six months.”

Experts claim it could take three months to repair transformers and restart the electrical grid.  Moreover, “A region’s markets have food enough for only three days, so families should store at least three weeks of nonperishable food — tuna, beans, freeze-dried items — and other vital commodities, such as toilet paper.

Thus, Oregon citizens are warned to face and prepare for the future:  “A region’s markets have food enough for only Kamaishi-fire-engi_1853498ithree days, so families should store at least three weeks of nonperishable food — tuna, beans, freeze-dried items — and other vital commodities, such as toilet paper.”

Moreover, Rizzo claims Oregon’s Coast will be hit by powerful tsunamis.  She fears that such devastation of vital utilities and transportation would cause businesses to leave the state taking jobs and salaries with them.

She begs towns and families to prepare by taking first-aid classes and Community Emergency Response Team training, and working to make their homes and belongings secure. “You need to practice this over and over because when it’s happening you’re not going to be able to think,” she said.

Likewise, officials in New Zealand are also telling their people:  “There is no better time than the present to prepare for the next quake on the Alpine Fault. The more thoroughly we prepare, the lower the eventual impact will be.”

The Extinction Protocol cites scientists there studying the Deep Fault Drilling Project with Otago and Victoria universities as: “The fault-line behind the swarm of quakes in central New Zealand may be much longer than previously realized and therefore capable of larger quakes.”

At least in some parts of the world, experts tell people the truth, rather than offering the politically expedient song and dance about billions of rescue funds coming to rebuild things they way they were.  Nothing can ever be the way it was!

At least in these two cases, leaders allow constituents to face the truth and get ready for outcomes.  Truth and preparation are essential elements in believers’ lives.  Christian messages cite examples in Jonah where God prepared for either the prophet’s obedience or his rebellion.  Either way, God is always prepared!

Talking About Misplaced Priorities: To the Moon and Then Bust!

navy-yard-shooting1    Last week’s massacre at the Washington, D.C. Navy Yard indicates that––as America spends billions racing to the moon and ‘measuring’ outer space––even after 9/11, the nation still does not have electronic communications, private contractor clearances, and safe security measures correct and in place.

Just as in 9/11, communications systems for emergency responders was non-functioning.  Kevin Bogardus from ‘The Hill’ says: “Radios for federal firefighters and police officers failed during Monday’s mass shooting at Washington’s Navy Yard, according to union representatives for first responders.

“Union officials said police and firefighters resorted to using their cellphones and radios from D.C.’s emergency responders to communicate with each other during the attack.  Initially, officers found that their radios were working. But as they ventured deeper into the building where the shooting took place, their equipment stopped functioning.

“After the first shootout with the gunman, one officer found his radio’s battery was dead, while another officer could not receive a signal from his radio and was unable to call for help. That forced them to use an officer’s cellphone to call others outside the building.” Such unpreparedness must change!

Also sources quote the Pentagon: “Naval police in Rhode Island did not alert superiors in Washington to evidence pointing to the mental instability of the former Navy reservist who the police say killed 12 people at a Washington Navy base.”

Trip Gabriel and Thom Shanker write:  “The police in Rhode Island who interviewed the man, Aaron Alexis, on Aug. 7 aaron-alexis-navy-yardwere concerned enough by his claims to be hearing voices sent by a “microwave machine” that they faxed their report to the naval police in Newport, where Mr. Alexis was working temporarily.

But the Newport police did not take further action because they did not consider Mr. Alexis dangerous. “He’s just hearing voices,” said Lt. William Fitzgerald, a spokesman for the department. “We can’t arrest someone for that.”
Moreover, the same inadequate security measures allowed Alexis to smuggle a gun onto the Navy facility and hide it in a bathroom.

USIS, the same company that gave NSA secrets spiller, Edward Snowden, top secret clearance, also cleared the Navy Yard shooter to do government work as a subcontractor. So Congress is ‘upset’ USIS has not ‘tightened its regulations’? Couldn’t enlisted military personnel do better jobs than this?

Repeated stupid stumbles. Psychologists posit Navy Yard shooter Alexis suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), common mental illness for ex-military personnel.  But that makes no difference, because politicians have not seen fit to pass laws insuring that mentally unstable people cannot buy guns.

Maybe members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives have PTSD.  But wait, most of them have never served in the military, so they may have no sense of protecting the American people?  What a bust!  This nation went to the moon, and searches the stars, but can’t do a better job of protecting its people.

Used Christian books condemns such weakness in what is suppose to be the strongest nation on earth: “For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed (Isaiah 9: 26).”  Time to pray for the USA!

Close to The Midnight of Man’s Extinction? Minutes, Seconds. . . ???

posted by Jael Ever @ 21:10 PM
September 22, 2013

Climate-Emergency        Animal researchers have warned for years that critter extinctions from Global Warming would soon move up the creative chain to reach human beings.  Now scientists, computer geniuses, mathematicians, philosophers, etc. warn:  “Man’s time is running out!” But, of course, few world leaders care to listen!

While most scientists try to put the date off decades into the future, the truth is that, in every ‘time until’ prediction about Global Warming, events have happened much earlier than scientific prognosticators anticipated.

However, now most honored scientific organizations agree on four major points about Global Warming:  1)  Climate Change is dangerously real; 2) It is caused by human activities; 3) Time is either near or passed for man to do anything to prevent destruction from Climate Change; and 4) It will kill million and/or billions of people in the coming years until the human race is totally destroyed.

Most scientists agree that in the same ways it has affected animals, hotter weather will kill human beings by degrees at a time, starting with poorer Third World nations, and then moving to their wealthier counterparts.

Allison Brito writes in ‘Leading Climate Scientist: World’s Global Warming Clock Is ‘Five Minutes Before Midnight’ that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is certain “ . . . if nothing is done to improve . . . greenhouse gas emissions, there will be an increase in species extinctions, as well as in “droughts, heat-waves and floods, affecting food security and water supplies for . . . millions.”

Famed climatologist James Lovelock insists gas emissions cannot be “improved,” as attempts to reverse Global Warming will not work, because it is too late.  Author of ‘The Revenge of Gaia: Earth’s Climate Crisis & The Fate of Humanity,’ Lovelock told “Humans are too stupid to prevent climate change from radically impacting on our lives in the coming decade.”

In his article on Lovelock, Alex Morales quotes the author:  “Much of the tropical land mass will become scrub and desert, and will no longer serve for regulation; this adds to the 40 percent of the Earth’s surface we have depleted to feed ourselves.  Before this century is over billions of us will die and the few breeding pairs of people that survive will be in polar-bearsthe Arctic where the climate remains tolerable.”

In ‘Report: 100 Million Could Die From Climate Change By 2030,’ for U.S. News and World Report, Jason Koebler covers the 2012 Climate Vulnerability Monitor, which states:  “ . . . climate change and fossil fuel use already causes nearly 4.5 million deaths each year, and could increase to about 6 million deaths per year by 2030.”  Experts do not agree on ‘when’ but they do that there is no ‘if’.

Those who believe politicians, industrialists and other ‘Climate Change Deniers’ should remember Apostle Paul’s Christian messages:  “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. . . . evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived (2 Timothy 3: 1 – 13).”

What Is The Mystery? Animals Falling Dead in Multiple Groups!

posted by Kids and Rev. Repriestly @ 23:33 PM
September 19, 2013

White-Tailed DeerJohn J. Jr.: What do you kids want?  The group was disbanded.  Everyone graduated. You are suppose to be in Sunday school and Bible Study with my father, John, and Rev. Repriestly before a new group starts.

Sarah S.: My name’s Sarah.  My sister, Sissy, calls me the stubborn one. Look we are furious about all these animals dying everywhere, and you guys doing nothing about it. Fish are dying, dogs, elks, everything! Tell ‘em Reggie!

Reginald Eaves, III: Well my good man, as my father Reginald II would say, Benjamin Radford writes in Live Science:  “Officials with the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish are puzzling over the mysterious deaths ofvmore than 100 elk, apparently all within a 24-hour period.

Terry B.:  And that’s not all. They weren’t shot or poisoned as with poachers.  What’s worse, over in Kazakhstan over 3,000 saiga antelopes died. In school     we read about it in the Tengrin News on the internet. They call it a die-off.

Gabriel:  Sir, I’m Gabriel. Kids just call me Gab.  We don’t mean no disrespect. But it seems to us something awful is killing animals in droves everywhere.    In Ohio even four dogs in the vet’s beds mysteriously died.  They think maybe something called circoviruses killed them.  But that’s found in pigs.

Lucy Lip:  Yeah, Buster and we wants to know what ya going to do about this. And why haven’t you guys put these stories in blogs before now.  How come we have to make you do it?  Tell him about the fish too.

Sarah S.:  Actually, it’s two fish stories. Carrie Arnold’s post on Nat Geo says: “The waters off British Columbia, Canada, are littered with dead starfish, and researchers have no idea what’s causing the deaths.”  Divers say the fish   just deflated and wasted away, and the sea bed was littered with their arms.

The other one is about the huge amount of bottle-nose dolphins washing up on the East Coast. says Officials examine dead bottlenose dolphin that washed ashore on the Long Island, New York shorelinemore than 333 of these dolphins have washed up from New York to North Carolina since last June.

Lucy Lip:  Yeah.  They’re saying its from a measles-like virus killing em.  But that’s crazy.  Fish can’t catch measles.  We’s still wants to know what you grown up people in Jael’s army gonna do about this.

John J. Jr., Show down there Lip.  First of all, we’ll ask the bloggers with Alvin Conway, founder of Extinction Protocol, who wrote in his book last year that the planet is being over-run by a deadly poisonous fungus.

Second I will work with Ms. Ambularie, Dr. Ad Versery and Dr. Jael will start our own research on these subjects.  And third, from now on Gabriel, Michael’s brother, will be your contact for us. Now back to Bible Study.

Remember the memory verse Rev. Repriestly put on your plus size Christian sweatshirts: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth(Genesis 1: 1).” And don’t forget the verses that go with it showing how people worked with Satan to ruin God’s perfect earth.

Colorado’s Floods, Fires, Global Warming & Thousands Affected, Pt. 2

posted by Sarah N Worthy IATTWJ Member @ 0:11 AM
September 17, 2013

Colorado-flooding-road-sinkhole        As warnings of more torrential rain fall today, five are known dead, numbers of Missing Persons in Colorado has now tops 1,253, and another 1,000 victims stranded near Denver await rescue.  The rain has destroyed or severely damaged some 50 bridges normally used to get people out of rural communities.

As authorities admit that only now do they comprehend the full extent of this crisis, the President has now named all of Colorado a major disaster area.  They see further devastation coming from mudslides, rockslides and road crumblings.

Yesterday Associated Press confirmed: four are known dead;  two swept away in their homes are conformed missing  and presumed dead; 11,700 have left their homes; 17,500 homes are damaged. Flooding has spread to 15 counties.

USA Today reports: 14,500 people have evacuated from flooded areas . . . and 1,329 stayed overnight Saturday in 26 emergency shelters . . . Many displaced residents are staying with family or friends or in hotels. . . . sections of U.S. Highways 34, 36 and 72, as well as various mountain roads, “are seriously damaged,” and several canyons seem ‘wiped-out’ . . . helicopters rescued 2,000.

Because even cell phone service is down in some areas, the number missing persons remains high.  For the last two days rescuers have warned those choosing to stay behind, it may be days or weeks before additional help could come.

Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle told reporters Hannah Dreier and Ben Neary:  “We’re not trying to force anyone Carrying-people-victim-floodingfrom their home. We’re not trying to be forceful, but we’re trying to be very factual and definitive about the consequences of their decision, and we hope that they will come down.”

In addition to (1-800-725-2769) The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 60006, Prescott, AZ 86304 and The Red Cross, 1800-RED CROSS, or texting REDCROSS to 90999 for $ 10 donations, or visiting–– those wishing to help Colorado victims should contact; Lyons Community Foundation/Relief Fund, The Community Foundation, 1123 Spruce St., Boulder, Colo., 80302;; and/or, 970-226-3647, ext.7, for Animal Protection or Control.

Moreover, the Guardian states:  “In the neighboring state of New Mexico, flood waters broke through dams, inundated neighborhoods and killed at least one person. The massive flooding prompted Governor Susana Martinez to issue a state of emergency, opening up recovery funding after rivers overflowed because of heavy rains and caused millions of dollars in damage.”

Column readers remark about earth scorched from forest fires, as well as Mountain Pine Beetles that have killed large ranges of trees in the Front Range of Colorado.  University of Colorado researchers claim “. . . climate change induced stress on the trees, rendering them more susceptible to attack, as well as lower winter mortality in the larval stages of the beetle” . . . i.e. Global Warming.

Beetles (i.e. insects, flies, locusts in the Book of Exodus in wholesale Christian Bibles), fires (in Genesis to Revelation), and parched dry land (Job and Psalms) are all symbols of God’s judgment.  Our nation must wake up to these issues and, falling on our knees, repent before even harsher judgment comes.

Connect the Dots: Colorado’s Floods, Fires and Global Warming

posted by Sarah N Worthy IATTWJ Member @ 15:43 PM
September 13, 2013

Colorado-extreme-flooding    Maybe its the shock of those horrendous floods now hitting Colorado, or rushed reporters ignore details, or its simply failure to connect the dots, but few news outlets admit these murderous rains connect to recent wildfires.
Such recognition traces the flooding’s evidence back to Global Warming!

In ‘Heavy Rains Cause Flooding in Colorado, Colleen Slevin and P. Solomon Banda’ write for AP: “Heavy rains and scarring from recent wildfires sent walls of water crashing down mountainsides early Thursday in Colorado.”

The American Dream asked in July ‘Why So Many Wildfires? Half The Country Is Turning Into An Intensely Hot, Bone Dry Burn Zone’ in July:  “Did you know that 8 of the 9 worst years for wildfires ever recorded have all been since the year 2000?  The western half of the United States just keeps getting hotter and drier, and this is creating ideal conditions for wildfires.”

Bone dry scorched earth cannot absorb heavy rain waters.  As of today, Colorado’s flooded streams and rivers have killed three people.  But at least 18 have been declared missing. Thus, the number of fatalities may soon rise.

While thousands have been evacuated, even more victims are trapped in their homes, cut off from possible emergency service rescues.  National Weather service officials estimate some 6.8 inches of rain hit the city in 24 hours.

The Denver Post adds:  “At least three Colorado towns — Lyons, Estes Park and Jamestown — were entirely isolated by water. Xcel Energy cut off power to most of Lyons. In Estes Park, a community of about 6,000 people, both telephone lines and cellphone towers were down. As darkness fell, the only communication into or out of the town was by ham radio.”

Matthew DeLuca, Daniella Silva and Alexander Smith report for NBC News:  “The bad weather also hampered rescue flood13n-10-webefforts, making it impossible to get search and rescue helicopters into the air  . . . and increasing the dangers for responders who tried to make their way into some of the most affected areas.”

Andra Coberly, from the Boulder YMCA, explain:  “It’s insane right now, I’ve lived in Colorado my whole life, and this is nothing that I’ve ever, ever seen before. Streets were turned into rivers and streams were turned into lakes.”

Torrential rains lashing over Colorado will continue through Sunday, but the flooding will continue far longer.  The state’s governor has called out the National Guard, and the White House declared emergencies in three counties to enable money and resources to rush into the state.

But at some point, governors and Presidents must face facts:  Unless they take immediate measures to stem Global Warming, worst floods, fires, violent storms, drought, catastrophic hurricanes, etc. will continuously pelt this nation.

It is as if America’s officials choose to sleep in ignorance of such evidence.  However, as Apostle Paul cries in used Christian Bibles:  “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep . . . (Romans 13: 11).”  The question is, do those in charge of this nation know what time it is?

Time to Work ‘For The Night Is Coming When No Man Can Work’!

posted by Jael Ever @ 12:33 PM
September 12, 2013

work-for-the-night-is-coming    At around 8 p.m. last evening, during a vicious thunder storm, the TV flashed “just a minute” and then shut down as the power went off: telephone, computers, alarm systems, everything!  My son and I scrambled to find candles, working flashlights, anything with lights, to no avail.

We decided to drive to any store to find batteries and candles before my daughter got home from her sales office.  And I wanted to stop by the internet store  so I could email Karen T, the faithful worker at I.E. Plexus internet sales company, asking if she could re-run some old blogs for me, until our power was back on.  After all, these days, one never knows how long one has to sit in darkness!

But, alas, the internet store sat in total darkness, as did McDonald’s, and the grocery and drug stores, even stop lights––everything we counted on for normal life in this post-modern age––was gone.  It was all too quiet and all too dark!

I thought about the time power was off for weeks on the East Coast during a cold winter, when angry husbands, as his family tramped back home from night-sleep shelter, vowed to buy emergency power sources.  I wonder if they ever did.

After driving for miles, we saw an opened pharmacy where we purchased batteries, candles and even snacks, as a warm dinner cooked on our electric-powered gas range was out.

We drove home in time to see my daughter’s truck pulling into the driveway.  With unusual cheerfulness, as she struggles to build a career in a declining job market, she assures me:  “Don’t worry Mom, lights will be back on soon.”

Now with candles flickering to fight the darkness, I settled down and tried to sleep. But could not. What if power would never be restored, as in warnings about EMP attacks, deliberate electromagnetic pulse devices?

As Michael Snyder writes in ‘Life After An EMP Attack: No Power, No Food, No Transportation, No Banking And No The-Night-Cometh-John-9-4Internet’: “Just imagine a world where nobody has power, most cars will not start, the Internet has been fried, the financial system is offline indefinitely, nobody can make any phone calls and virtually all commerce across the entire country is brought to a complete stop.”

These thoughts kept my mind whirling.  I thought about blogs and books I had put off writing, while I fiddled with word puzzles or took too many unneeded naps.  And I searched for verses from wholesale Christian Bibles in my mind, trying to remember Our LORD’s admonishment:  “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9: 4).”

Emergency! American Hospitals Going Broke and Closing

posted by Dr. Ad Versery Bored @ 18:06 PM
September 11, 2013

Closure-of-The-Queen-Eliz-007    While the U.S. wastes funds on: profit-less space programs, bloated defense and other covert departments, fighting ‘impossible’ wars, and other meaningless ventures, its citizens struggle with indecent health care and collapsing hospitals.

Failing hospitals in this nation share common traits of: less government funding in times of financial austerity, run-away costs, not improving productivity by closing or merging hospitals, resistance from staff and medical personnel and politicians, etc.  Several factors prevent short-term financial fixes from working.

In her article, ‘Debating a Fix for Hospitals in Dire Straits,’ Anemona Hartcollis writes: “Hospitals in poor areas have been struggling for years; since 1990, 52 hospitals in New York State, half of them in the city, have closed or been converted into another type of medical center.”

Bill de Blasio, currently running for mayor of New York City was arrested recently during a demonstration to save Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, vowed:  “We have to end this epidemic of hospital closures.”

Like most U.S. hospitals in trouble, Brooklyn hospitals mainly serve the uninsured and those with Medicaid, which pays less than private insurers.  Protesters insist state and federal governments must do more to help hospitals.

But New York, and other states, claim incapable of supporting hospitals with loans and bonds as in the past. As Keith B. Richburg argues in ‘Without Funds, N.J. Hospitals Face Crisis’: “If the country is facing a nationwide health-care crisis, then the condition in New Jersey can be described as gravely critical.”

Hospitals in this country are closing for multiple, but overlapping reasons:  1) Rise of ‘semi-hospital’ medical care hospitals-closingfacilities; 2) Preponderance of lower income and/or Medicare patients, who pay less than those privately insured; 3) Influxes of illegal aliens seeking ‘federally-forced’ but free medical treatments; 4) Locations in urban areas with populations of low-income and minority patients;

5) Vested financial interests among doctors, medical schools, etc. stalling to keep unprofitable hospitals from down-sizing; 6) Decreasing numbers of patients in rural hospitals, because of falling population numbers;

7) In cities and rural areas, corporate movements to larger regional medical ‘centers’ which involve patients traveling long distances; 8) Lack of cost-cutting efficiency; 9) Increased cost of diagnostic equipment; 10) Fewer available doctors and surgeons; 11) Declining quality of medical care; and 12) Governments on all levels no longer show dedication to basic medicinal care.

Perhaps few realize that in God’s final judgments, leaders must answer for how they treat ‘the least of these.’  As The LORD Jesus teaches in used Christian Bibles:  “Then shall He answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to Me (Matthew 25: 45).”
