Japanese-protesting-Nukes    It has taken Japan more than two years to admit that 400 tons of highly contaminated radioactive water is seeping into the Pacific Ocean every day, and no one knows how to stop it, especially the (* ! # @) people at TEPCO nuc plant!

As late as June 24th, The New York Times published Martin Fackler’s story that the seepage “contained 1,100 becquerels of tritium per liter, or about a quart, of water.” But on Wednesday, David McNeill of The Independent writes the:

“ . . . contaminated water contains three times the cesium released from the 1986 Chernobyl accident.”  And Energy News quotes a senior scientist who says a 100 times more strontium than cesium is in the Fukushima plant water:  “Strontium gets into your bones… it changes the equation for Japanese fisheries.”

Also National Geographic announced on Wednesday:  “The makeup of the radioactive material being leaked by the leaking-radioactive-substanceplant has changed. Ken Buesseler, a senior scientist with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution who has analyzed thousands of samples of fish from the area said:

“. . .  the initial leak had a high concentration of cesium isotopes, but the water flowing from the plant into the ocean now is likely to be proportionally much higher in strontium-90, another radioactive substance that is absorbed differently by the human body and has different risks.”

Buesseler “believes that the cesium is retained in the soil under the plant, while strontium and tritium, another radioactive substance, are continuing to escape. . . . the higher concentration of strontium-90 that is now in the outflow poses a trickier problem, because it is a bone-seeking isotope.”

While major U.S. news carriers have not published the story, Energy News and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation insist that Japan is trying to freeze the ground water to seal the leaks.  However, Japan Times says the government and TEPCO hope to complete the project by 2015. Ha! By then it may all be over!

Only journalist Harvey Wasserman, a strong advocate for renewable energy, has the guts to tell the truth:  this radioactive waste will NEVER be erased from grounds or waters.  Wasserman told Extinction Protocol and Reuters News Service:

“The Japanese authorities have been covering up the true depth of the disaster . . . This is an apocalyptic event. . . . Our entire planet is at risk here. . . . We have materials . . . that are dangerous for hundreds of thousands of years. . .”

Does anyone find it strange that the only country which endured the dropping of atomic (nuclear) bombs has managed to poison the world with nuclear waste?  As the depressed writer of Ecclesiastes says in Bible prophecies:

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun (1: 9).”  All we at can say is “we told you so!” See you later then?

This Time Some Salads, Veggies and Sea Food Not Good For You!

Aftermath-Norovirus-Outbreak    A mysterious stomach illness is sweeping across the United States.  Either the same parasite called by different names, or different types of parasite/viruses/‘bugs’ now simultaneously attack at least 400 Americans in some 16 states.

Actually the ‘bug’ has been traveling across this country for over a year, but for a long time, medical officials had no idea what it was, or what to call it.  Last January, they tagged it as ‘the new Sydney strain of Norovirus’ or Norwalk virus.

At that time, Associated Press wrote:  “The new strain is making people sick in Japan, Western Europe, and other parts of the world. It was first identified last year in Australia and called the Sydney strain.”

Highly contagious, this Sydney strain spreads in places like schools, cruise ships, nursing homes, etc.  Apparently it was the cause of mass sickness aboard the Queen Mary II during a Caribbean cruise where 220 people fell ill.

Mary Clare Jalonick of Associated Press this week says, “According to the FDA 113 illnesses have been found in Texas, 146 in Iowa and 81 in Nebraska.”  She also wrote an article with David Pitt again linking the illness to bagged salads.

This time calling it ‘cyclospora,’ the two discussed the virus transporting the malady:  “The parasite is so tiny that it’s often difficult to confirm that a person has the illness, according to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). Tests often have to be repeated with fresh samples.”

This particular parasite is native to tropic locations and usually comes to the United States through imported produce. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published symptoms as: stomach cramps, diarrhea, other flu-like symptoms.

Earlier this month, the FDA admitted the illness––at least in Iowa and Nebraska––“is linked to salad mix served at localWash-Your-Hands Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurants and supplied by a Mexican farm.”  They add:  “The illness is usually spread when people ingest foods or water contaminated with feces.”

In their overview about Norovirus, the CDC says the bug is typically found in leafy greens, fresh fruits and shellfish, and that the best defense against it is thorough washing of fruits and vegetables, as well as food preparers hands.

Moreover, that agency warns “there is no specific medicine” for the bug, because it is a viral and not bacterial infection. They are most concerned that victims of the but drink plenty of liquids to prevent dehydration.

CDC forebodes:  “. . . you can get norovirus illness many times [because] there are many different types of noroviruses.  Being infected with one type of norovirus may not protect you against other types.” Aha. They still don’t know!

Used Christian Bibles ask believers to pray, thanking God for all meals: “. . . that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labor, it is the gift of God (Ecclesiastes 3: 13).”  Pray! No matter what they may label any bug!

Young Hero, Jairo, Murdered Because He Protected God’s Creatures

Jairo-Mora-Sandoval    We are all shocked and sadden at the news of the murder of our brother Jairo Mora Sandoval, who working with the Wider Caribbean Sea Turtle Conservation Network, was murdered because he protected sea turtle eggs that poachers wanted!

The 26-year-old conservationist had dedicated his life to protect endangered sea turtles and their nests of eggs from poachers and drug smugglers who wanted ‘ownership’ of the stretch of beach near Limon, Costa Rica, Jairo patrolled.

Although first kidnapped with three women in the Limon conservation party, the women escaped, but Sandoval was found beaten to death with his mouth stuffed with sand, as a warning that conservationists should keep their mouths shut.

Didiher Chacón, the coordinator for the Wider Caribbean Sea Turtle Conservation Network says:  “With everything we know about what happened, it seems like it was an act of revenge Jairo didn’t drink. He didn’t smoke. He wasn’t involved in those kinds of things. We think it must have had to do with his work.”

Jairo had emailed friends:  “Can you send messages to the police so they come to Moin Beach. Don’t be afraid, but just come armed. 60 turtles lost, not a single nest. We need help fast.” He also spoke to newspapers about turtle poaching.

Ashamedly, Costa Rican police and coast guards have for years been absent from beaches during turtle egg laying Leatherback-Sea-Turtle-Trinidad-Costa-Rica-Rod-Mastseason. They must know that addicts sell these eggs to restaurants as aphrodisiacs for $ 1.00 each.  They also know drug smugglers do not want people on beaches interfering with drug operations.

Extremely upset over Jairo death, another conservationist hero, Captain Paul Watson of Sea Shepherd, told Lindsay Fendt of The Tico Times:  “If drug traffickers are landing on Costa Rican beaches why did the government remove the Coast Guard patrols of these beaches?

“If Columbian and Panamanian drug runners are running drugs onto these beaches, why are there not police there to intercept them? If turtle eggs are being served in restaurants on the Caribbean coast, why has the government not stepped in to stop this trade? If a tourist can see turtle eggs on a menu why can’t the police see the same thing?”

Jack Berry, writing for says:  “For years, volunteers in Costa Rica have battled against poachers to protect the endangered leatherback, green, and hawksbill turtle species as they move onto the country’s beaches to lay their eggs. And despite beatings, robberies, and threats at gunpoint, the conservationists protecting the dwindling turtle population have struggled on.’

Todd Steiner, executive director of the Turtle Island Restoration Network, said in an e-mail message that his group and others are setting up a fund for a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Sandoval’s killers.

As young people at we thank God that time is almost over, that Jairo’s killers will soon be judged on earth and for all eternity.  Everyday we wear on our plus size Christian t-shirts Apostle John’s closing prayer:  “Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus (Revelation 22: 20).”

Drought, Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Food Cost: Famine Comes to U.S.

RisingFoodPrices    Global Warming results have hit U.S. pocketbooks in more ways than one.  Food prices are drastically up, farmers beg governments for ever more assistance, and Congress studies to cut food stamp prices––again.

We think his figures are low but Paul Ausick of 24/7 Wall Street in ‘U.S. Food Prices Rising Sharply: Up 9% from December to January, 15% Increase from January 2012,’ writes:  “Prices were 15% higher than in January 2012.

“Food prices paid by consumers will be going up, due in part to continued drought conditions in some of the country’s most productive farmland and due in part to rising costs.”  Mark Koba of CNBC adds:

“The drought will have a significant impact on prices, especially beef, pork and chicken . . . Lack of rain and extremely warm temperatures—thought to be from global warming . . . are blamed for the drought.”

Koba’s most astounding statement: “. . . severe weather put . . . 80 percent of the continental United States in drought conditions. . . . roughly 61 percent of the country still suffers from drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.”

But Koba’s also points out that in 2012 farmers received some $ 8 billion dollars to help cover their loses.  Now to compensate for that Congress plans to cut food stamp programs even further this year.

Ron Nixon of The New York Times in ‘House Plan on Food Stamps Would Cut 5 Million From Program,’ claims:  “Nearly half a million people who receive food stamps but still do not get enough to eat would lose their eligibility for the program under proposed cuts that are expected to be taken up again by Congress.

“An additional 160,000 to 305,000 recipients who do get enough to eat would also lose their eligibility and the ability to adequately feed themselves.  In total, about 5.1 million people would be eliminated from the program.”

Spokespersons for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), add horrifying prospects that such cuts:  “ . . 3 4-SNAPwould not only affect the ability of low-income households to feed themselves but would also increase poverty [and] health.” Nixon says 48 million Americans get food stamps and must choose between food, rent and medicine!

To the further shame of the nation’s politicians, some in Congress want to push Food Stamp program cuts to $ 40 billion, and to require recipients to take drug tests and to follow unemployment rules.  What’s next?  They will require child labor, as some have already suggested?

Those in the U.S. House and Senate claiming to be Christians should recheck their wholesale Christian Bibles which repeatedly command:  “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble (Psalm 41: 1).”  Hmmm.  I guess they don’t think they will need God’s help.
