What Will It Take? U.S. Government, Mass Media & Global Warming

What will it take for the United States government to admit that the horrendous weather changes relentlessly pelting our country are caused by Global Warming?  What will it take for weather experts reporting on mass media outlets to connect extreme weather occasions––i.e. massive flooding, endless fire-causing droughts, killer tornadoes, record snow blasting winters, etc.––to the real culprit, Global Warming?  What will it take for politicians to stop listening to money-grubbing corporate heads who pay them to ignore Global Warming in the name of the economy and their old standby excuse––saving jobs?

Were the founding fathers of this nation wrong for insisting that the media would be a sacrosanct fourth estate, not bound by governmental authority, because they expected media to be a never-ending fountain of truth?  Why is it that not one mass media outlet even mentioned Global Warming when reporting on those murderous tornadoes ripping through the south a few days ago?  Why is it that these media giants completely ignored Global Warming when reporting on the wild fires treading through Texas, destroying homes, farmland and anything or anyone else in their way?  These media weather personalities do have degrees in climatology and other weather disciplines, do they not?

And why now, when climate scientists reported years ago that Global Warming would bring torrential rains and  unbelievable flooding throughout this nation, that media mentions nothing about that to the millions of people now flooded out of their homes, their towns and factories destroyed, and their loved ones lost?  Doesn’t the government care?  Don’t local political leaders have the right to know?  Were local weather experts holding advanced degrees from viable universities not taught about the effects of Global Warming?

Surely, those in the highest offices in the land at least have advisers who are telling them the truth?  And why do the men running world-wide mega-corporation squash any mention of Global Warming whenever they can, making sure that the subject is relegated to a few “nosy” bloggers who supposedly can’t reach millions?  What have these billionaires got to lose?  Will allowing Global Warming to eventually kill millions, if not billions, of people enhance their goal of total control over world economies?  Do they care nothing about the human, animal, and plant lives killed in order for them to reach that goal?

But God knows doesn’t He?  Doesn’t His Word say that He will stop these scions, defeating them, and their satanic powers, in final Armageddon battles (Revelation 11: 18; 16 all)?  So believers wear plus size Christian T-shirts to warn others about these things, don’t they?  And Christians are praying for millions to be saved before that Great Day, and that governments and media will soon tell the truth about Global Warming, aren’t they?  Aren’t Christians praying about it all?

It Takes More Than Money

posted by Jael Ever @ 17:10 PM

It takes more than money to build a viable nation.  It takes a historically sustainable set of ethics, acceptable political controls, non-conflicting cultures, balanced economic policies and compliant populations.  The United States has been incredibly successful for most of its 400 year history because its set of national beliefs was built on:  Judeo-Christian ethics; economic and political freedoms; and unifying cultures.  But this is certainly not the case with China.

Searching for the cheapest labor, American capitalists have made China an economic giant.  But this will not ultimately build a credible international leader.  That is something that money cannot buy.  The former Soviet Union is the best proof that communism does not offer a sustainable set of principles.  And while, its system of freedom-less government tries to control news of failures, China’s lack of a publicly-supported ethical basis or sustainable political government is clear.

Sharon LaFraniere’s article “In China Fear of Fake Eggs and ‘Recycled’ Buns” exposes that nation has lacks care for its people. Food safety is an apt example.  Two years ago baby milk contaminated with melamine sickened 300,000 babies, even killing six.  Although the government arrested several culprits, melamine milk keeps popping up.  LaFraniere’s illustrations are shocking:  Water and flour added to stale supermarket buns to recycle them as fresh; Pork soaked with borax and sold as beef; pork contaminated with clenbuterol, a chemical banned years ago; rice laced with cadmium from heavy-metal; soy sauce laced with arsenic; mushroomed washed with fluorescent bleach; bean sprouts tainted with animal antibiotics; wine stretched with sugar water and chemicals; and phony eggs thrown together with chemicals, gelatin and paraffin.

Because this one-rule government has no mechanism for dissent, nothing like public advocates for consumers, or  exposing newspapers, one international agency says, “Basically, people now feel nothing is safe to eat, . . . They don’t know what choices to make. They are really feeling very helpless.”  A Chinese citizen withholding his name for his safety says of food producers:  “None of them are reliable, they really have no morals. They will do anything for money.”

Those capitalist claiming to be loyal Americans will rue the day when they decided that cheap moral-less labor was better than workers in their own nation who have centuries of nurture in the Judeo-Christian Protestant work ethic.  That work ethic also includes social systems of accountability.  As they attempt to swim through seas of corruption, official payoffs and inept production in China, those betraying their own country skate on thin lines of ultimate ruin.  Bible prophecy indicates that China’s ruin will come from sending a million soldiers to fight against The Returning Messiah (Revelation 16: 12).  And in God’s system of accountability, those who moved jobs from this country will pay then as well!

Water, Water No Longer Everywhere

posted by Jael Ever @ 16:47 PM

The water wars have begun!  Enduring drought, drying aquifers, shrinking rivers and never-ending damn building is pitting town against town, region against region and nation against nation.  Diplomats in small nations express concern that larger ones will use water as a substitute force for political and military control.  While most United Nations members agreed to a 1997 pact on transnational rivers, China and Turkey have refused to sign it.  The Associated Press reports that governments from Pakistan to Vietnam fear “China’s accelerating program of damming every major river flowing from the Tibetan plateau will trigger natural disasters, degrade fragile ecologies, divert vital water supplies.”

In the United States, Alabama and Georgia are riving up for a new kind of Civil War.  And this one will be over water––that is which state has the right to use water coming from the Tennessee River water basin.  Georgia is even threatening to pump water out of four of its creeks feeding into the Tennessee.    And Alabama is moving every legislative string to stop its neighboring state from doing such a “horrible” thing.  Now Georgia claims that 200 years ago whoever surveyed its state line was mistaken, and that actually the Tennessee River is part of Georgia, thus giving Georgia riparian rights to this much needed water way.  And so it goes.

Out in Wyoming, two cities––Greenly and Bellvue are fighting over a five-foot wide pipeline which is yet to be built.  Greenly very much needs the water that will come from the 30-mile-long pipeline, because it will give their residents more than 50 million gallons of water a day from the Poudre River.  But citizens of Bellvue––who apparently don’t need any water––argue that their pristine wilderness should not be destroyed by the intruding pipeline.  If lawsuits and conflicting legislation is settled, construction of the pipeline should begin at the end of this year, and the project should be completed by the summer of 2013.  But if these two neighbors can’t agree––well who knows?

Of course, men have been fighting over water rights for centuries.  Bible accounts in the book of Genesis illustrate that Abraham and his son Isaac, had continuous fights with their neighbors over rights to water wells.  Moreover, the Bible clearly indicates that the lack of water is a curse that only the precious blood of Jesus can erase:  “As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water” (Zechariah 9: 11).  And Bible prophecy promises that those in Christ Jesus will have the precious water of everlasting life forever:  “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22: 17).   Now this is a water right that no one has to fight over.  All one must do is to come and drink!

Celebrating Victory with Pride, Innocence or Insanity?

One must respond to those complaining about Americans celebrating the military’s success in killing Osama Bin Laden.  Small children may not comprehend why grown people were out in the streets rejoicing over the death of one man.  But for grown people to write blogs, such as one on the Huffington Post, calling his death a “Revenge” killing––it is time to say enough!  When television newscasters allow men women to call the nation’s joyous reaction to his death “shameful”––it is more than past time to say enough!

For the last nine plus years, most adult Americans realize that we were attacked on our own shores by three gruesome cowardly acts, devised by Bin Laden, who believed he could reduce our nation to shame, defeat and poverty by: destroying our economy––represented by the twin towers in New York; our political system––represented by the plane intended to hit the White House; and our military might––represented by the simultaneous attack on the Pentagon.

Listen! in those acts, Bin Laden declared war on the United States of America.  And for nearly 10 years, this nation’s Armed Forces and intelligence networks have been fighting back against the attackers––the chief one of which was Osama Bin Laden.  In a war, when you kill an enemy, it is not “Revenge!”  It is not seen as “Retaliation!”  It is called attacking and defeating an enemy determined to kill more Americans than the 3,000 he has already murdered.

Certainly those brave men and women who diverted the plane intended for the White House to a field in Pennsylvania understood that it was war.  And with only a few seconds to comprehend that our nation was in peril, they gave their very lives to stop that third plane from reaching its target.  Would those weeping willows crawling over media now claim that these heroes were retaliating?

What kind of psychology is this?  It must be some new study called “How to Treat Adult Children.”  As for those underage children also wondering about the celebration of his death, parents should explain that there really are evil people in the world,  some of whom are so full of satanic purpose that they cannot be treated with counseling or kindness or anything else.  Herman Melville wrote a novel called Billy Budd.  The main character was a young man who was so innocent he failed to comprehend that his captain was insanely evil.  Eventually the captain killed the innocent one.  Melville’s point: blind innocence is dangerous ignorance.

It is stupid to try to coddle a snake.  In wholesale Christian Bibles, The Lord Jesus commands us to be “wise as serpents, and harmless as doves” (Matthew 10: 16).   He also says: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10: 19). America’s soldiers understand that when a snake attacks the nation they must kill it.  As for these adult children: like Billy Budd, their childish lack of comprehension is indeed hopeless!

The Diluted Arrogance of Not Knowing

Aha! So now we have the great media “scientific” backlash against those of us who insist that the freakish tornado havoc reeling death and destruction through the Southern United States last week were caused by Global Warming!  When reporting on the storms’ devastation most in mainstream media don’t even mention Global Warming.  Many quickly disavow that the storms have any connection with Global Warming.  Even esteemed Forbes Magazine, sets forth James Taylor in “Global Warming Taking The Wind Out of Tornadoes.”  He posits that because a single tornado can cause more than a billion dollars in damages, it lends opportunity “every year for alarmists to exploit tornado outbreaks and spread the myth that global warming is to blame.” Taylor accuses Science Daily, Wikipedia, Grist and other sites, such as this one, as simply being alarmists.  With convoluted logic he concludes “ global warming is reducing the threat from tornadoes.”

Strange that media representing billion dollar corporations, such as Forbes, would want to get into this shouting match when it is clear that their interests would be most injured if the government ever decided to place the blame for such disasters on Global Warming.  At that point, those money moguls would have to change their ways of doing business. Ahhh! They may even lose some money.

Conversely, Patrick Jonsson of Newscom argues against that grain in “South’s ‘Super Tornado’ Outbreak May Be Worst Ever in U.S. History.”  He argues that the only storm that comes close to these wrath of terror is what is called the “Tri-State Tornado” in 1925 which ran a 219 mile track in the upper Midwest, killing over 700 people.  His point is that this year’s super storms were actually part of some 211 tornadoes, at least a dozen of which were probably highest level EF-5 storms.  Also some of the storms had speeds over 200 miles an hour, making them the most powerful ever recorded in this nation.

Newscome claims that the death toll was lower only because of improved warning systems.  As further proof, he argues, “The sheer numbers of twisters from one storm front may also be unprecedented. If the estimated number of tornadoes at 211 holds fast, it would far outpace the previous modern record . . .”  So since Forbes rejects the argument for Global Warming, what reason do they put forth for such horrendous increase in tornadoes?  The answer is:  None!

Bloggers, journalists and scholars not funded by corporate interests try to present the truth.  Christian believers should pray for them because God is always on the side of truth.  Bible verse cards make clear that those who want to know the truth will ask of “God and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”(Colossians 2: 2b-3).  One day all mankind will stand before Them.  And some will be rewarded for writing the truth!

Congratulations U.S.A. For A Job Well Done!

posted by admin @ 15:54 PM
May 2, 2011

A few days ago, this site posted a blog about the importance of everyone just doing their job.  Today, we wish to say a big “Thank You” to:  The President of the United States, his cabinet which maintained such tight secrecy about this assault, the intelligence community who obeyed the president’s order to make the capture of Osama Bin Laden top priority, the U.S. military, and especially to some 40 Navy Seals who did their job of attacking the Bin Laden mansion in Pakistan and taking out the master-mind terrorist of the infamous 911 attack against our nation.

The world may never know the names of all the Americans who have worked tirelessly over the almost 10 years to collectively do the job of bringing this mass murderer to justice.  These men and women have not worked for money––they could have gone to Wall Street or other money-making ventures to do that.  They have not done it for fame or glory.  True heroism seldom does.

On the wall of the Central Intelligence Agency are stars, many without names, for the many agents who gave their lives in service to our country.  To give their names would endanger the operations of which they were a part.  Nevertheless they are recognized because they did their jobs.  Such has always been the legacy of the United States:  brave men and women working together to bring their nation victory.   We may not know all the names of these faithful heroes among those who labor constantly for their country.  But God does.

Also, we also wish to thank the many Americans who flooded the streets of New York, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania,  Ohio and other locations to celebrate this great victory––one of the greatest victories of our times.  They shouted and hugged in unity, giving no thought to political party or race or age, etc.  They, as all of us, were simply proud to be Americans.  As the President said in his announcement last night, these celebrants proved that––no matter what a few admits––we are one nation, one people, standing together against all enemies.

Finally, all of us wish to thank those Christians who have prayed so earnestly over these years that God would give us a victory against this man to whom his terrorist pledged allegiance as if he were a god.  Just as we don’t know the names of many of the heroes mentioned above, the world does not know these prayer warriors.  But God knows.  The war against al Queda has often been an invisible one.  The names of most of the villains or heroes are not known to men.  But God knows.  For nothing is invisible to Him.  As the Apostle Paul sets the example in Christian prayer books for all Americans, we join him in saying:  “Thanks be to God Who giveth us the victory, through Our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Corinthians 15: 57).  Now let us all get back to work with the proud understanding that reward does come, and will come in eternity, when we all just do our jobs!
