Kill Whales, Eat Whales, Bring Judgment

posted by Jael Ever @ 16:50 PM
June 30, 2010

As if the Sea Shepherds were not already bravely fighting a giant alone, the International Whaling Commission decided to pile it on at its recent annual meeting.   Representatives from 88-nations on the Commission, who are appointed to protect whale life, were recently caught accepting bribes from Japan, the chief killer of whales on earth.  Not only did reporters from The Sunday Times of London catch Commission members accepting bribes from Japan, they found that many of the representatives had been wrangled onto the board by that nation’s manipulations.  Thus, the Commission, which only had 41 members a decade ago, now has appointees from countries that are nowhere near seas or oceans, resulting in a board evenly split about banning whaling.

Japan, Norway and Iceland now have limited Commission permission to slaughter whales “for scientific research,” but South Korea also plans to apply.   Because the Commission bans commercial whaling, the three rogue nations insist that they only hunt whales for scientific research.  Of course, they overlook the whale delicacies found in restaurants and grocery stores throughout their countries.

And, not to be left out, Russia plans to explore for oil on its eastern coasts where the much endangered Gray Whale feeds and breeds annually.  Citing dangers to this near-extinct species, the Commission asked Russia to delay these seismic tests until the Gray Whales migrated away.  Environmentalists insist that the only 26 breeding females remain among Gray Whale population would be feeding on those coasts.   Surely, the Commission argued, Russia would not want to disrupt their breeding season.  And joining the other renegades, Russia refused to delay their explosive tests.

Bible scholars consider whales to be the earthly, non-symbolic, figures of one of God’s proudest creations.  In the book of Job, He refers to them as Leviathan, a giant being––beyond the scope of man’s comprehension (chapter 41).  Like other nations disregard the special status of sea turtles as the last remaining dinosaurs on earth, those who hunt whales seriously taunt God’s pending judgment.

By not doing more to protect these animals, people who sit on the sidelines doing nothing about these crimes against nature, will also be caught up in that judgment.  The early chapters of Genesis makes clear that God appointed human beings to be stewards of nature, not its destroyers.   Study those appointments to stewardship in wholesale Christian Bibles.  Get clothing advocating protection of  sea animals at wholesale Christian t-shirts.  And get deeper into God’s Word in online Bible courses.   And, like Daniel, pray for God’s forgiveness, and ask for the help of His wisdom and power to stop the slaughter of whales.

Title: Yikes! Loose N.Y. Tigers, History and Time’s End

posted by Jael Ever @ 13:04 PM
June 29, 2010

In addition to Whale Wars on the Animal Planet, another great cable television offering that reveals earth’s pending demise is The History Channel. On June 16, 2010, the History Channel devoted an entire hour to the number of loose tigers and other wild animals roaming around the U.S. The story zeroed in on the state of New York, of all places, where several suburban residents testify sightings of black tigers threatening riders on bicycle trails, and freely roaming through back yards. Several times, commentators stressed amazement that thousands of wild cats are so loosely held in the U.S, with some even unleashed on American communities. Last year, a History Channel series also stressed the number of free wild bears roaming through suburban back yards in New York and New England.

Another great History Channel series is the one about Aliens visiting earth in ancient days. History Channel interviewed archeologists, anthropologists, astronomers, and hard scientists, etc., establishing that alien beings visited ancient civilizations, establishing themselves as gods for the visited societies. Apparently, these beings gave people scientifically advanced knowledge, resulting in similar pyramids and altars at far-reaching locations around the world. Today, most of the descendants still practicing religions from those early civilizations expect their gods to return to earth soon.

Is it not interesting that people who claim no connection with Christianity recognize that unusually violent activities are taking place in this century. And that those activities will only intensify. One must wonder why there are more scholars, claiming no Christians affiliation, stressing the urgency of these times, than that seen from visible Christian leadership. For Christian congregations to be aware of such threats, there would have to be more in-depth Biblical teaching about Satan and his fallen angels, their webs of demons and ruling religious systems around the world, and their inner-actions with human beings. Such teaching would also make Christians aware that humble individual and group prayer can tear down those webs.

Hundreds of years ago, the renowned scientist Isaac Newton predicted that the world would end in the early 21st century. And he did so by continuously and closely studying the Bible. A scientist, intellectual, devout Christian and Bible Scholar, Newton studied God’s Word so closely that he could profoundly predict today’s climatic events. But Newton didn’t converse much with church leaders of his day, because they would violently oppose the conclusions of his research. The History Channel also has a great television account of Newton’s life and his predictions about the end of time in the early 21 century.

The problem is, of course, that these subjects are not history. They are current. And they test our lives and our faith. We have so little time to wear wholesale Christian sweatshirts. And even less time to study wholesale Christian books. Or take online Bible Study courses. Time is wasting. We must get busy!

Species Declines Threat to All Human Life

posted by Jael Ever @ 12:44 PM
June 28, 2010

One of the most comprehensive reports on the state of Earth’s non-human kingdoms is the one prepared by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN).  Every year this world-wide group of collaborative scientists puts out The IUCN Red List, a report on endangered and declining animal species, including interpretations of what these declines mean to the human race.

The 2009 Red List begins, “Biodiversity loss is one of the world’s most pressing crises with many species declining to critically low levels with significant numbers going extinct.”  The Red List stresses growing awareness that biodiversity affect human life.  This year, governments around the world have set a goal with IUCN to lower those rates of declines and extinctions.

But these efforts may be too little too late.  IUCN responds:  “Life on Earth is under serious threat, despite the commitment by world leaders . . .”  IUCN bases this conclusion on examples too numerous to mention:  Here are just a few:

    *  Like many examples of animal decline, root causes are illusive, i.e. of some 26,000 Saiga antelopes in the Urals, 12,000 were found dead for no apparent reason, and most of them were pregnant females.

    *  This year, IUCN reports that “nearly one quarter of the world’s mammals, nearly one third of amphibians and more than 1 in 8 of all bird species are at risk of extinction.”  IUCN warns that such numbers should alarm the human race about its    own extinction:  “It is increasingly appreciated that biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation jeopardizes human well being.”

Their summary concludes:  “Examples abound from around the world––destruction of grazing lands in Ethiopia by invasive species resulting in whole villages being abandoned: the US fruit industry being no longer able to rely on wild pollinators; and fisheries collapsing worldwide . . . .”

The point is, what will it take for people and governments––and especially Christians––to recognize this Earth is in desperate trouble?  Hopefully, such recognition will bring urgent change.  While worldly systems can pay serious heed, Christians must return to earnest prayer and repentance.  An example is Daniel’s prayer in chapter nine of his prophetic book.  While Daniel was guilty of none of the sins he confesses, he nonetheless repents for those of his countrymen.  Likewise, Christians must beg God’s mercy upon those nations and peoples––starting with their own––that seem hell-bent on destroying the Earth.

To learn about Daniel’s deep prayer of repentance, check wholesale Christian Bibles.  Other good sources are Christian prayer books.  Researching wholesale Christian books also helps.  Also check wholesale Christian t-shirts for designs that stress true repentance.

End-Time Separation

posted by Jael Ever @ 16:15 PM
June 24, 2010

Particularly prevalent in Biblical end-time prophecy is the strong sense of separation.  Even before The Rapture of true-Christians away from the earth, and before the rise of the anti-Christ with his Great Tribulation, fundamental differences between peoples and beliefs are tearing nations apart.  It seems, as one poet has said, that “the center cannot hold.”  And  there is a fundamental disconnect between those who understand the end of time and those who choose not to.

Those who choose not to see the current collapse of time and secure reality, simply believe that time and earth are solid, dependable never-changing phenomena.  And, in spite of evidence presented by end-time events––i.e. increasing hurricanes and earthquakes, deadly flash floods, galloping epidemics, disappearing beneficial animal species, multiplying dangerous animal species, financial upheavals, wars and rumors of wars, etc.––many choose to believe that the basic fundamentals of their lives and times will remain in tact.

The Apostle Paul, inspired by The Holy Spirit to half of The New Testament, says in  2 Thessalonians 2: 3 – “Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away . . . .”  In its explanatory notes, the Dake Reference Bible explains that falling away to be apostasy––or the separation between true and false Christianity and true and false Christians.  And, in his profound one chapter New Testament book, the Apostle Jude (half-brother of The Lord Jesus) defines false Christians as those who separate themselves from the basic tenets of Christ.

In the world of false Christianity, anything goes––glaring sins against the laws of God and of nature, are not only acceptable, but exalted; the demonic worlds of paganism and the occult are mixed with dead theology; blatant hatred for godly order to achieve political victory are deemed not only necessary but holy; the blame for poverty is placed solely on the shoulders of the poor; and The Bible’s commandments about love and grace are misapplied, mistranslated or simply ignored.

Today, millions of innocent and ignorant people float and flail between true and false Christianity.  It is time for them to become knowledgeable.  Studying wholesale Christian Bibles is a start.  Supplementing that with wholesale Christian books is also helpful.  Good Bible correspondence courses give greater depth.  Of course, witnessing by wearing wholesale Christian t-shirts, tells others about the search for truth. But the greatest of these are true love and earnest prayer!

Time For More Dedication

posted by Jael Ever @ 11:40 AM
June 22, 2010

Of course, one must admit that those working on the Sea Shepherd do so at great risk to their lives.  They brave constant danger fighting to save whales from slaughter.  Likewise, men and women at war in the U.S. military live in constant danger to protect the nation.  And of course, police and firemen constantly skirt the edge of death as they struggle to keep our towns and cities safe!

But these objectives hardly outweigh the value of one human soul!  Jesus Christ came to earth so that human beings could be loosed from Satan’s grip, allowing them the freedom to embrace God’s salvation.

And He commanded His followers to go out into all the world and do likewise (Matthew 28: 19 – 20).   For several early centuries, Christians obeyed that commandment at great risk to their lives.  But because they obeyed His call to missions, the gospel went into all the known world––and generally under constant stress of horrific persecution.

In the process, some Christians lived in underground caves; others were clawed to death by lions in coliseums; and some were sacrificed simply because they wanted to translate the Bible into English and other languages for common people.  Like believers in the Book of Acts, men and women would pray and pray until the walls raised against the Gospel would fall.  These Christians loved The Lord Jesus enough to obey Him.  And they loved the people who did not know Him enough to suffer rejection, persecution and even death, so that those populations could hear and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.

It is very easy to see that, if one compared today’s known members of the Body of Christ, we do not fare well aligned beside Sea Shepherd sailors risking life and limb to save whales.  Nor do we earn high marks when compared to military soldiers fighting for our freedoms, to police and firemen struggling to protect our cities, or to early Christians who gave their all to spread the Gospel.

Hopefully, God still has missionaries in some far-away lands taking His Gospel to the lost.  Hopefully, when this generation is called to account before the Judgment Seat of Christ, we will have a few unsung martyrs, a few who have put their lives on the line for the sake of Christ, instead of playing religion or politics.  Surely, there will be some who love across racial, cultural and economic barriers to take His gospel to a dying world.   Yes, hopefully there will be a few!

Surely, it is time to seek re-dedication to The Lord’s command by returning to christian prayer books.   And perhaps a wholesale christian book for resale could remind us about true Christian duty.

Another opinion

posted by Jael Ever @ 11:33 AM
June 21, 2010

Here’s more good news.  In case some who read this blog think that its discussions are just about different Christian points of view, here are similar examples from experts who give no outward display of  Christian allegiance.

On their own, a group of brave men and women have devoted their lives to stop the slaughter of whales, God’s most magnificent mammal creation.  Known as Sea Shepherd, this small, but very brave, army is headed by Captain Paul Watson, founder and president of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.  Their goal is to stop Japan’s whale-hunting industry from slaughtering whales.  To prevent extinction of whale species, international law forbids whale hunting.  But to skirt around this restriction, Japanese shippers claim to hunt whales solely for research purposes. Yet, whale meat delicacies readily show up in their country’s street markets and butcher shops.

When Japan’s whale hunting season starts, the Sea Shepherd crews, in their much smaller vessels, do everything possible to interfere  with the hunters’ nefarious pursuits.  Years ago,  Captain Watson said that those mercilessly butchering sea creatures do not realize that in killing whales they can bring about earth’s destruction.  Imagine that, the Sea Shepherd realizes  that destroying God’s great creations can bring an end to the earth as we know it.

Now that is a testimony!  Although he does nothing to flaunt what faith he may have, perhaps Captain Watson is familiar with the Scripture in Revelation 11:18:  “And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”

Recently, the Sea Shepherd also put dolphins, seals and blue-fin tuna under their protective wing.  Watson said of the tuna, “Rampant overfishing is speeding the Atlantic bluefin tuna towards extinction.  Sea Shepherd is on the way to the Mediterranean to defend them.”   If you want to know more about this team dedicated to doing all they can to protect God’s sea creatures, catch the Sea Shepherd’s adventures on their documentary television show, Whale Wars, on the Animal Planet channel.

And if you want to know more about how grateful God is for those heroes who try to protect His creation from frivolous unnecessary slaughter, rather than defending its destruction, check out the wholesale christian book for resale category online.  Another good source is christian prayer books.  More on other unsung, perhaps non-religious, heroes trying save, rather than exploit, God’s creation in future blogs.

Only One Life, Twill Soon Be Past

posted by Jael Ever @ 12:55 PM
June 18, 2010

Have you noticed the metaphoric symbols by digital artist Bryce Wilson on our blog artwork?   We are most grateful for the telling symbolism that his art portrays, for truly the Cross of Jesus Christ is the dividing line between strong and weak Christianity, and between true and false Christianity.

Galatians 2:20 instructs Christians to be crucified with Christ, meaning to take our self-centered desires to the Cross, and live only for what Jesus calls us to do––in our personal behavior and in our work for Hm.  And we are to discipline ourselves in the same way that He directed His earthly life to please His Father.  Such is true love––those who love, as Jesus loves, sacrifice their own desires to please the One loved.  The hallmark of true Christianity is love:  love for God––as Jesus said with all the believer’s heart, mind, soul and body––and after devotion to God comes love for others.   And love for God demands submission to His instructions that we love one another as He loves us.

Years ago, a very popular limerick made the rounds in Christian circles:
“Only one life, twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.”  It was understood that the term “will last” speaks of eternal reward.  As we mentioned in a recent good news blog, during the seven years of the anti-Christ’s reign of literal hell on earth,  authentically born-again Christians will have been raptured, or caught up in the air, ferried away from earth.

After the Rapture, believers will spend seven years before the Judgment Seat of Christ.  Here each individual, each family, each church will receive eternal rewards or suffer eternal loss.   In 1 Corinthians 3: 11 – 13, the Apostle Paul refers to the Judgment Seat as holy fire treading through the archives of each Christian’s life.  Naturally, the burning will destroy what he calls “wood, hay and stubble.”  And only eternal rewards will remain––that which the Apostle refers to as “gold, silver, precious stones.”

Repentance is getting rid of the wood, hay and stubble in our lives before we stand before Our Savior’s Judgment Seat.  Such repentance is where the Christian’s Cross begins.  Taking ourselves to the Cross to burn out the useless junk––usually religious excuses stuck onto us by made-up fables from false or weak Christianity––is true repentance.

The Judgment Seat of Christ is only for true Christians.  Rather than being judged with the world, Christians will judge unbelievers before what is called The Great White Throne Judgment.  That judgment happens after armed believers return to earth with Our Savior.   As He wears His crown and war robes, we will be suited with Him for all-out war against Satan and his hosts.  And that will be victory, pure, sweet everlasting victory.

Come on! Jump into this victory pool.  Read wholesale Christian Bibles.  Get wholesale Christian books.  Read and know.  True Christians win now and forever.  And that indeed is V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!

The Good News After

posted by admin @ 16:08 PM
June 16, 2010

Since it seems that this blog often covers negative issues, perhaps readers would enjoy some good news for a change.  The majority-accepted Scriptural interpretation is that true Christians living today will be raptured away from earth before final Armageddon begins.  Thus, they will not be on earth during those seven years of The Great Tribulation.  More on what true Christians will be doing at that time, and where they will be, in later blogs.

During final Armageddon with terroristic military reign of absolute evil over some nations, there will be four classes of people left on earth:  1) Those who dedicate themselves to Satan’s anti-Christ, place his irrevocable tattooed symbols on their bodies and join him in serving eternal death; 2) Those who reject Satan’s rule, who finally accept Jesus Christ as Savior––even as they face horrific execution for that decision––and who will immediately go to heaven as martyrs; 3) Those who will not accept Christ or adopt Satan’s symbols, but who will nonetheless die without salvation during the wars, famine and plagues  in that seven year period; 4) and Those who will not accept Christ or enslavement with Satan, but who will manage to be alive at the end of Armageddon’s seven years.

Thus, two out of four of these groups have good news!  The second group will join other Christians in reigning over earth and universe with The Lord Jesus, His Father and His Holy Spirit.  And the fourth group will live on earth under the rule of Christ and redeemed Christians, living for as much as 1,000 years (known as the Millennial Reign) IF they obey the rules of His kingdom.  At the end of that thousand years, they will still have to make the personal decision as to whether to accept Christ or submit to Satan.

Good News No. 1 – Those alive who are true Christians before Armageddon will not live through the severe trials of that period, but the opportunities they had to work for Christ and receive eternal rewards before His return will be over.

Good News No. 2 – Millions, and perhaps billions, of people around the world will turn away from satanic rule and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior during the seven year tribulation; although most of them will be violently executed for those late decisions, they will nonetheless enter heaven as faithful martyrs.

Good News No. 3 – Those who had not accepted Christ, but who managed to be alive at the end of Armageddon’s seven years, will be allowed to conduct their lives on a beautiful and health-filled earth for as much as a thousand years, but only if they follow the Biblical ruler-ship of Christ and His Triumphant Church.

Why not study these issues for yourself in wholesale Christian Bibles?  Another good source is Christian prayer books.  Next, we will look at what authentic Christians living now will be doing in that seven year period.

Who or What Are The Beasts?

posted by Jael Ever @ 17:19 PM
June 15, 2010

Continuing with discussion about animal and human beasts of the earth, Easton’s Bible Dictionary, gives several definitions of the use of the word beast(s) in Scripture:

“In the New Testament it is used of a domestic animal as property. . . When used in contradistinction to man (Ps. 36:6), it denotes a brute creature generally, . . . . This word is used figuratively of an infuriated multitude (1 Cor. 15:32; Acts 19:29; comp. Ps. 22:12, 16; Eccl. 3:18; Isa. 11:6-8), and of wicked men (2 Pet. 2:12). The four beasts of Daniel 7:3, 17, 23 represent four kingdoms or kings.”  In Revelation, 13: 4 and 15, the human embodiment of satan, the anti-Christ, is also called “the beast.”  In short, in addition to wild animals, the term denotes animalistic human behavior, unhindered by conscience, moral standards or societal control.

As for animal-type beasts, many Bible scholars believe that references to beasts killing about twelve percent of the human population only refer to carrion birds and animals who devour the dead bodies of people killed by war, famine or disease.   While that view has some validity, there are scores of Bible  verses speaking about animals attacking and killing people.

As a young shepherd, King David wrestled and killed both a lion and bear.  And once, some 30 teenagers were viciously taunting the prophet Elijah, who cursed their behavior, when suddenly two mother bears came out of the woods and killed all the young people.  The point is that there are just as many examples in the Bible of animals attacking people, as there are examples of animals feasting on dead human bodies.

Rather than generating theological discussion, this blog is more concerned with events in today’s world as seen through the eyes of Biblical lenses.  And in doing so, one cannot ignore the tens of thousands of snakes, tigers, bears, coyotes, boars, rats, chimpanzees, raccoons, feral dogs, etc. multiplying, loosely guarded and potentially roaming loose in our nation.  The phenomena of so many potentially dangerous wild animals, the diseases they bring, and their increasing attacks on human beings should bring alarm to all people––but especially to Christians aware of pending Armageddon.

More on both animal and human beasts in future blogs.  Those who wish to learn more about these issues should check in The Book of Revelation and other apocalyptic texts such as Daniel and Isaiah.  Another good source is wholesale Christian books.

Decline of Blessings with Increase of Disasters

posted by Jael Ever @ 13:10 PM
June 14, 2010

Discussion of feral tigers in the last two blogs Biblically centers around the background of St. John’s prophecies in Revelations 6: 8 “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the Beasts of the earth.” There are approximately 8 billion people on earth today.  A fourth part of that number would be two billion, and as four different manners of death––i.e. sword, hunger, death (by pestilence), and beasts––are listed, an even division would mean that up to 500 million people could be killed by beasts.

The United States has been so blessed and prosperous in the past, that its citizens cannot imagine that many of the protective safeguards keeping it safe may not always be there.   At least three factors influence that decline.   One is the gradual removal of God’s protective blessings; another is economic decline.  And last are irresponsible, and even corrupt, people who deliberately weaken the nation’s safeguards.  All are connected.

In the 1960s, most churches in the U.S. stopped Wednesday evening prayer services, often substituting Bible study instead.  Individual and group prayer from earnest Christians hold back forces of evil from nations, governments and families.  Most Christians are not aware that some of their countrymen deliberately serve the causes of evil.  Many of those who seek to glorify evil have purposefully imported these dangerous animals, perhaps preparing for the attacking beasts of Armageddon as cited in the passage from Revelation.

Experiences in the Old Testament prove that lack of repentant prayer and empowerment of satanic worship can remove God’s blessings from any nation, and economic collapse could soon follow.   As the United States takes multiple hits with drastic oil spills; killer hurricanes, tornadoes and floods; two major wars; domestic terrorism; near economic collapse, etc.––rather than returning to earnest prayer, many solely seek political solutions.  How many see today’s headlines as urgent reasons to cry out to God for His forgiveness, and asking Him for true spiritual revival?

Deuteronomy 28, Leviticus 26, and other Scriptures, indicate that God’s judgment comes upon a nation in waves of increasing intensity.  After each set of disasters, God calls upon the nation to change its ways.  If its people refuse to repent,  God allows more severe judgments to fall.  In addition to repentant prayer, and standing against forces of evil in the civic arena, believers may consider other ways of witnessing about these apparent Armageddon times.  Reminding others that it is time to seek God’s forgiveness and blessing is laudable.  Why not consider wholesale Christian gifts in that regard?
