ebola-virus-outbreak    Apparently world health experts have become so alarmed at the rapid spread of Ebola Virus in West Africa and beyond––possibly even to Europe––that they now refuse to make victim statistics public.

Six days ago, Michael Smith of MedPage Today claimed: “The report comes as the WHO is reporting that the outbreak now includes 202 suspected or confirmed cases — 168 in Guinea, 28 in Liberia, and six in Mali. There have been 121 deaths.”  Other reporters claim the virus has also struck four other countries.

inquisitr.com writes:  “A Reuters report on the Ebola outbreak claims that death toll statistics will no longer be released to the public to “avoid causing unnecessary panic. . . The [outbreak] may have spread to Europe despite pandemic containment efforts. WHO Health officials have been working diligently to contain the Ebola outbreak to West Africa, but their efforts may have failed.”

In ‘Ebola Virus Spreading Rapidly in West Africa’ Brad Johnson defines the disease: “Ebola (pronounced eh-boh-la) is a type of hemorrhagic fever, distinctive by the fact that it is a group of viruses that affect numerous organs and systems within the body. [It] is usually accompanied by internal and even external bleeding.

“Currently there is no vaccination for it. [It kills] about 90 percent of those it infects.  The World Health ebola-outbreak-deathOrganization (WHO) has reported that there are five different strains of the virus, . . . Currently, only three of the five strains have been identified as pervasive within the West Africa outbreak.”

Press releases indicate this dread disease came to Europe. The Inquisitr post says:  “Approximately four dozen migrant workers from the outbreak area came ashore, allegedly illegally, in Pisa, Italy. The workers are reportedly being isolated with symptom commonly associated with the Ebola virus. The migrant workers have reportedly presented with conjunctivitis, blood around the eye, and fever.”

Pauline Bax, Sadibou Marone and Ougna Camara point out in ‘Ebola Outbreak Empties Hotels as West Africa Borders Closed’ that fear of Ebola has cancelled 80% of hotel reservations, and that this is the worst Ebola outbreak in seven years.  They estimate it has killed 111 people in Guinea and Liberia.

Various nations reacted in horror:  Senegal has shut its borders.  The Ivory Coast bars buses from Liberia and Guinea. A Brazilian iron ore producer sent its workers from Guinea back home.  Bax et al add:  “Regional trade is at risk of grinding to a halt . . .“Inadequate health care and a shortage of doctors make fighting the disease more difficult.” Doctors Without Borders try to augment staffs.

Smith also reveals that this current Ebola strain is only 97% identical to strains of several years ago from East Africa. Other analysts suggests the virus was transferred from animals traveling from one side of the continent to another. It began this time with a two-year old catching the disease and family members treating her caught it as well.  Tragically, they all died.

This outbreak is one of many plagues circling earth in these last days.  Believers must learn to stand against such diseases with covering of the Blood of Jesus, the Anointing of The Holy Spirit and The Word of God.

As Bible messages promise: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. . . say of The LORD, He is my Refuge and my Fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. . .There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling (Psalms 91: 1 – 3, 10).
