Scientific revelations about the Madrid Earthquake Fault predict that, if erupting, would split the United States in half from Louisiana to Illinois. Now a different joint task force of NASA and university scholars predict that the entire Western half of the country is due to be ruined by massive unrelenting drought.
Tim Walker of independent.co.uk reports today: “Since the turn of this century, the US south-west has spent more than a decade in drought. Last year was the warmest on record in California, which is in the middle of its driest spell for more than 400 years. But according to a new scientific study, that’s nothing compared to what comes next.
“In the paper, published by the journal Science Advances, researchers from NASA and Columbia and Cornell Universities warn that a vast swathe of the U.S., including the south-west states and the central plains, should prepare for ‘unprecedented drought conditions’ unlike anything in the past 1,000 years.”
In its discussion, Wikipedia explains: “. . . the New Madrid Fault Line, is a major seismic zone and a prolific source of intra-plate earthquakes . . . in the southern and midwestern United States, stretching to the southwest from New Madrid, Missouri. . . . Earthquakes that occur in the New Madrid Seismic Zone potentially threaten parts of seven American states: Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi,” and many other states as well.
What’s more, both Christian and secular prophets have foreseen the same ‘end’ of the U.S. as it is now known, but not for the scientific reasons. In ‘Major Earthquake Coming to the Heartland of America, James Bailey writes about several U.S. ministers who have ‘seen’ visions and prophesied that the U.S. would be split in half because of it coming betrayal of Israel.
“Pastor Shane Warren from First Assembly of God in West Monroe LA had a prophetic vision in which he saw the heartland of America split by massive earthquakes.” Minister Terry Bennett “saw” this headline: ‘No Bridge Over Troubled Waters: An Impossible Deluge at the Mississippi River as 8.8 Earthquake Strikes.’ “Terry Bennett believes the Lord told him this headline, as well as many others he received, will come to pass by the middle of 2015.” Oops that’s this year!
Secular prophet Edgar Casey, who has a high percentage of prophecies come to pass, foretells that a Gulf oil spill will activate the quake: “As the Great Lakes, at 600 feet above sea level, rushes down the Mississippi River. at least 50 miles on each side, the 600 foot wave will destroy much of America, right down the middle. . . the Madrid fault line will blow: Goodbye, Chicago and Saint Louis, and all the other cities in its path. There will be no time to evacuate, and it will be impossible to try to outrun the rushing water from the TWO catastrophes.”
Bailey’s article was written in 2013 when some in the U.S. pressured Israel to cede some of its land to Palestine. In view of current tussles between the two nations, betrayals and divisions can obviously end with the same judgments.
But another reason for such catastrophes––whether mega-drought or nation-dividing earthquake––would be the massive era of unprecedented sinfulness in which America has steeped itself. As wholesale Christian Bibles warn:
“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God (Psalm 9: 17).” If there was ever a time for believers to pray for authentic Holy Ghost revival to sweep this country, that time is now (Hosea 6: 2).
Ebola steadily wipes out Africa’s gorilla population. Penguins––especially the Emperors––die of by thousands as Climate Change continues to melt Antarctic ice. China’s insatiable appetite for ivory ravishes what few African elephants and rhinos remain. Birds burn to death in mid-air. And man yawns with disinterest!
Indeed, the fact that many Africans still eat gorilla meat factors as one vehicle for the spread of Ebola virus among people. Author David Quammen noticed in 1996 in a village in Gabon, Ebola broke out after boys brought home a a dead chimpanzee they found in the woods and cooked and ate it. That meat killed some 21 people. Quammen noticed that 13 gorillas near the village were dead also.
The Extension Protocol and and Steve Baragona of Voice of America News cite Quammen’s latest book, ‘Spillover: Animal Infections and the Next Human Pandemic,’ as his critique of the impact that human population growth has on God created animal habitat’s for ages:
“There are now 7 billion of us on the planet. We’re going into these diverse ecosystems. We’re cutting down trees, we’re building mines and roads. And as humans encounter the animals living in these ecosystems, We’re giving the viruses those animals carry the opportunity to jump to a new host.”
It’s now a familiar story among scientists in various fields. As William Karesh adds: “It’s becoming very clear that there’s a strong correlation between environmental change of any type and disease emergence. Whether it’s deforestation or agricultural growth or reforestation, it’s that change that allows that disease to emerge because it’s disrupting the natural balance.”
So, in short, by insistence that man is free move around the planet as he wishes, man is in essence killing himself. Disrupting the natural balance? Hmm let’s see––how about sea otters. At its 99th Annual Meeting this week, the Ecological Society of America lamented horror stories about how declines among sea otters––again caused by people––has upon other ocean animals and plant life.
SPX News reports the Society’s findings on how removing sea lions as predators, has sent “ripples throughout the food web” in oceans. “The fur trade spanning the late 1700s to early 1900s decimated their [sea lions] numbers across their range, from Alaska to Baja California, Mexico.”
The sea lion population fell from an estimated one million to around 106,000 world wide. Now that the hunting has stopped, these animals must confront Global Warming. According to Rebecca G. Martone from Stanford,“The near extinction of sea otters is one of the most dramatic examples of human-induced impacts to the structure and functioning of temperate nearshore marine ecosystems.”
SPX explains: “Without sea otters, the undersea sea urchins they prey on would devour the kelp forests, resulting in dense areas called sea urchin barrens that have lower biodiversity due to the loss of kelp that provide 3-dimensional habitat and a food source for many species.”
But reckoning days of judgment come so very soon. And most humans among this planet’s billions do not sense that their earth-borne home is failing, for one reason among many––because they needlessly kill God’s animal kingdoms!
Hmm. And the birds, chimpanzees, penguins, etc. We need a plus sized Christian sweatshirt with the simple verse: “The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein (Psalm 24: 1).”
These include: 1) More sprawling geographical areas resulting from human populations increasing by the billions; 2) Man’s continual digging into underground areas for oil research, fracking, industrial construction, etc.;
3) Underground holes forming in weakened areas creating hollow spaces unable to support ground above; 4) Failures of governments to limit growth in these areas and to make major repairs on bridges, retaining walls and other underground structures. As a result sink holes increase in number, size and severity.
According to Nature News “Bloomberg reports that fracking is a likely cause for a dramatic rise (sixfold) in earthquake activity from 2000 to 2011, not to mention contamination of the water and food supply. Extreme mining practices by Texas Brine and others are also responsible for triggering the sinkholes.”
In ‘Sinkholes: Should We Be Scared?,’ Kate Henderson argues: “Sinkholes in urban areas are more common after intense rainfall, as underground channels are eroded, especially if they have high limestone or other soft rock content, gypsum or salt. [After] caverns form, the hollow is too big . . . Then it implodes.”
She notes: “. . . in storm-battered Britain, a chasm that was twenty-foot deep and thirty-five feet wide appeared in the middle of a Hemel Hempstead housing estate . . . Carla Rance, had been worried when her front porch inexplicably sank six weeks ago. Her landlords had assured her all was fine. Today her next-door neighbor’s house hangs precariously over the drop. Assessors predict at least two of the homes will have to be demolished. They were only built six years ago.”
At the end of last month some dozen parked cars fell into a giant sinkhole in Baltimore, Maryland. On a quiet street with houses built as early as 1890, cars slid over a collapsing retaining wall and down into the hole onto a CSX railroad track.
Although no one was injured, one witness said “The building shock almost like the earthquake but not quite as bad. … I came out and the street was gone. Just like that!” Others in the area said the sinking hole movement took about 15 seconds, and sounded like a rather ordinary roar of thunder.
Just this month brucegarrett.com blogged explains that that huge sink hole in Baltimore is just another in a series of Global Warming disasters set up by deferred maintenance that hit the city recently: “… everyone who was here when the Howard Street tunnel caught fire in July 2001 knows what is going to happen now. People were complaining about the retaining wall that collapsed last Wednesday, years before this, and CSX kept telling them there was nothing to worry about.”
Americans should know that in Bible prophecies, sink holes are signs of God’s judgment: “But if The LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked The LORD. And it came to pass, . . . that the ground clave asunder that was under them: And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods (Numbers 16: 1 – 32).”
As California fights droughts and soil-erosions, the rest of the U.S. still watch drought-dry lands. It’s the same story around the world––Africa, Europe, South America, Middle East––drought, poisoned water or no water at all.
Either Americans have no concern about drought in other countries, or as most here only receive ‘pre-approved news,’ the United States primarily stays very isolated from news about drought in other parts of the world.
Alonso Soto and Luciana Otoni of reuters.com say drought in Brazil has “. . . has depleted reservoirs in Brazil’s industrial southeast and sapped output at hydroelectric plants, forcing utilities to turn to more expensive thermal energy to guarantee power supplies and avoid further blackouts or even rationing.”
American Dream Guest Post writes in ‘The Drought In Brazil Has Gotten So Bad That 142 Cities Are Now Rationing Water’: “ . . .some neighborhoods are only being allowed to get water once every three days? At this point, 142 Brazilian cities are rationing water and there does not appear to be much hope that this crippling drought is going to end any time soon.”
In “Millions Face Drought, Famine and Climate Change on the Eastern Horn of Africa, Heather Libby claims: “Right now in the Eastern Horn of Africa, more than ten million people are struggling through the worst drought in six decades. Many countries, including Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia and Djibouti stand on the brink of famine, and there is little or no likelihood of improvement . . . .”
Drought is so sever in Queensland, Australia that charities launched the 2014 Drought Appeal to aid farmers. In ‘Lifeline’s Drought Appeal,’ Melody Labinsky quotes Charity head Derek Tuffield,: “She spoke about a number of farmers in her area who were reporting they were out of fuel for their motor vehicle, struggling to put food on the table and ultimately would struggle to pay for utilities.”
In ‘Europe Seen Facing More Droughts This Century on Climate Change,’ Rudy Ruitenberg of Bloomberg.com reports on a study by European Union’s Joint Research Center and Germany’s University of Kassel, published in the journal, Hydrology and Earth System Sciences.:
“Many river basins, particularly in southern Europe, will probably become more prone to periods of reduced water supply as average global temperatures rise. . . Minimum river flows may fall as much as 40 percent in Spain and Portugal and the south of France and Italy.” In the past 30 years droughts in Europe have cost $ 136 billion dollars. And those experts contend that figure will only rise.
themalaymailonline.com forecasts: ‘Drought Threatens Southeast Asia Food Prices as Haze Worsens’: “The drought parching Singapore and swaths of Malaysia and Indonesia threatens to raise food prices, slow economic growth and disrupt water supply in the region, home to the world’s oldest tropical rain forests.”
Kyle James writes that Europe is turning to desalination as a solution. And in West Virginia and other parts of the globe, people turn to processes of harvesting rainwater. Of course that West Virginia water was poisoned by coal processing plant run-offs. While people struggle to get clean drinkable water, few government officials attack the root causes of Global Warming––an over-industrialized planet.
Man needs few things to live: food, water and air. Food depends on water. Christians around the world must pray for rain, and for governments to start more vigorous fights against Global Warming.
Just as God provided for Israel in water-less deserts after their escape from Egypt, wholesale Christian Bibles repeat He can do it again: “He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers (Psalms 78: 16).”
The year 2013 may not seem like the worst for Global Warming records, but in reality it is! While the staff will go through each 2013 month in another blog, it is essential to point out this year’s dismal record for making the planet sicker.
For one thing, despite all the warnings about its dangers to Earth, CO2 emission levels from fossil fuels passed 400 parts per million in mid-2013, and the numbers keep rising. Science Daily advises that carbon dioxide from fossil fuels rose 2.1% this year, 61% above 1990 levels set by Kyoto Protocol:
“The Global Carbon Budget reveals that the biggest contributors to fossil fuel emissions in 2012 were China (27 per cent), the United States (14 per cent), the European Union (10 per cent), and India (6 per cent). The projected rise for 2013 comes after a similar rise of 2.2 per cent in 2012.
“Most emissions are from coal (43 per cent), then oil (33 per cent), gas (18 per cent), cement (5.3 per cent) and gas flaring (0.6 per cent). The growth in coal in 2012 accounted for 54 per cent of the growth in fossil fuel emissions.”
In addition, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concluded last fall that scientists are ‘more than ever’ sure that, through greenhouse gas emissions, people cause Global Warming, and it is getting worse.
As Think Progress.org points out, the world was much hotter in 2013: “Sea level rise is speeding up, dry areas are getting drier and we areas are getting wetter as the warmer atmosphere holds more moisture in it. . . . The oceans are taking up greater and greater amounts of carbon dioxide, which portends acidified doom for many shelled aquatic creatures and anything that relies on them.”
Their oceanographers also highlight that jelly fish populations around the world have exploded: “One Oregon fisherman says his boat has caught 4,000 [to]5,000 pounds of jellyfish.” Also, Think Progress reinforces their scientists’ conclusions that “the oceans are still on the brink of collapse due to overfishing; and spills of various kinds [have] killed thousands of fish and animals this year.”
Any reports about air quality, wild fire destruction, methane emissions, animal extinctions, storm survivors––all say the same thing: Global Warming accelerates its record of destroying Earth, man’s only home.
People take pride in 2013 because 2012 was declared the hottest year ever. But this year gives no reason for such effusion. While the hurricane season seems to be the lowest rate in 60 years, last month’s Typhoon Haiyan––the strongest storm ever to hit landfall––wipes out that record.
Those who have warned about Global Warming for years lose hope that world leaders even care. We look at Australia where the prime minister insists that record fires and drought there have nothing to do with Climate Change; or we screech at China, a nation burning enough fossil fuel to kill millions of people.
But few listen. As Christian messages repeatedly exhorts: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction (Proverbs 1: 7).” After Hurricane Sandy decimated America’s East Coast, and now, after Typhoon Haiyan has killed––at last count––6,000 people, world leaders should prove whether they want to be remembered as wise men or fools.
Life-stealing smog fell on Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang Province in Northing China, today shutting down all normal activity, including schools, highways, air traffic, in several lesser cities around Harbin. Scientists estimate that such unyielding fog in China kills some half million people a year.
Apparently, the blinding smog was ignited by heating supply companies starting to burn coal preparing for winter. Resulting ‘smog-soot’ air cuts visibility down to about 500 yards. In some areas it is less than 250 yards, according to BBC News reports. Some citizens tell reporters they cannot see even 10 yards away.
BBC also says that the density of airborne particles floating above China is “several times above World Health Organization (WHO) recommended limits.” “PM2.5 levels, used to measure the amount of particulate matter smaller than 2.5 micrometers in the air, were above 500 micrograms per cubic meter on Monday morning,” the state-run news agency Xinhua told the BBC.
In ‘China Smog Emergency Shuts City of 11 Million People,’ Reuters adds that the particulate matter over some parts of Harbin reached 1,000, while for WHO the acceptable level is 300.
English.news.cn quotes Sun Qi who lives in Changchun, capital of a nearby province: “The building 50 meters away cannot be seen clearly. I smelt irritative coal smoke when I opened the window of my house.”
The same type of smothering smog in the national capital, Beijing, earlier this month. China is supposedly building a nation-wide network to deal with persistent fog in big cities, according to an official who spoke with Xinhua Press.
Voice of America writes in ‘Air Pollution in Northern China Blamed for Drop in Life Span:’ “The Ministry of Environment said last month that only 27 out of 113 major cities met government air quality standards in 2012. And a World Bank report in 2007 assessed that between 350,000 and 400,000 people die prematurely in China each year because of air pollution.”
Such smog reports particularly trouble Chinese government as: “Domestic media have run stories describing the expensive air purifiers government officials enjoy in their homes and offices, alongside reports of special organic farms so cadres need not risk suffering from recurring food safety scandals.”
Thus, as Reuters relates, China’s “stability-obsessed leadership” is very worried because of “popular resentment over political privilege and rising inequality in the world’s second-largest economy.”
So they are worried about an uprising because their citizens don’t want to be chocked to death by smog? But they don’t care enough about a half million deaths a year to stop burning coal? Do they gamble on that time when enough is enough?
Such shameful government neglect bring God’s judgment upon the nations. As Bible prophecies promise in 2 Samuel 23: 3: “ . . . He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.”
Scientists claim melted ice from Global Warming has tilted Earth’s geographic poles enough to cause a massive magnetic shift that: disorients aviation directions; will tear continents apart; and cause remaining animal and human life to have no idea where they are! And seers admit it all may happen in October!
Bryan Nelson of Mother Nature Network reveals: “The magnetic north pole is currently shifting at a faster rate than at any time in human history—almost 40 miles a year—and some experts believe that it may be the beginning of a complete pole reversal.”
In his study, ‘Adjust Your Compass Now: the North Pole is Migrating to Russia,’ Guy Adams writes: “Scientists say that magnetic north, which for two centuries has been in the icy wilderness of Canada, is currently relocating towards Russia at a rate of about 40 miles a year.” He speculates, the field may soon split.
However, “No one can predict the impact of ‘polar reversal,’ during which magnetic north and south reverse, since one hasn’t happened for 780,000 years, the longest stable period in the past 5 million years.”
But Destination Yisrael adds further foreboding in ‘As in the Days of Noah,’ the Earth Tilted and Became Inclined and Sudden Destruction Came upon the Earth––Part One; Prelude to a Pole Shift?’:
“During the last few months or years before the coming of the Messiah it is expected by those who have ‘eyes to see and ears to hear’ will experience that our earth will be in the convulsions of major earth changes.
“These earth changes will include meteor and asteroids colliding into our planet, earthquakes, tsunamis, rising and collapsing islands and mountains. Yet most of us do not consider that the days before the coming of the Messiah we will also experience a geo-magnetic polar shift in which the magnetic pole may actually become a complete pole reversal.”
In their lengthy report, Destination Yisrael says that the same shifting mechanisms occurred just before Noah’s Flood as reported in the Book of Genesis: “This also suggests that within the next few months or years, believing that we are in the Seven Years of the last Sabbatical Week of Years before the coming of the Messiah, our world will erupt again into significant catastrophes and cataclysms.” Note the words “next few months or years”!
In Noah’s Day, those who believed God obeyed Him and got into the Ark for safety. They hadn’t seen a flood, or even a drop of rain. But they believed God, or at least seven of them believed Noah, a prophet and the head of their family.
As wholesale Christian Bibles quote: “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” The LORD Jesus has already built the Ark. It is time for people to believe in Him and get on board, before it is forever too late!
Sissy: Rev. Repriestly, thanks for taking my call. We need help over here. Feermeno is spacing out. She says world leaders do nothing while Japan destroys the planet with unstoppable leakage from that Fukushima nuclear power plant.
Repriestly: Put the phone on speaker. Ally, yes I know how The New York Times article summarized TEPCO: “The latest disclosures add to a long list of recent accidents, leaks and breakdowns that have underscored grave vulnerabilities at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant site more than two years after a powerful earthquake and tsunami set off meltdowns at three reactors.”
Sissy: She says Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe only said the Japanese government would help TEPCO stop the leaks so he could lead his nation’s delegation to win the 2020 Olympics host city.
Freemeno (screaming): And then he bragged to Olympics people that nuclear water would never reach Tokyo, and they believed him. AUGXGH. Of course citizens who live near the plant were outraged but what did he care.
Sissy: What really set her off is that just this week, Christina Sarich of Prison Planet.com reveals: “Charles Perrow, from Yale University is compelling the world to wake up from its nuclear slumber and face some cold-hard facts:
“All of humanity will be threatened for thousands of years” if the Fukushima Unit 4 pool can’t be kept cool. Your worries about eating cesium-contaminated fish from the Pacific Ocean are grounded in fact, but this is a world-wide disaster of the most epic proportions just waiting to happen.”
Headlining the story: ‘Fukushima Could be 15,000x Worse than Hiroshima with Removal of Fuel Rods,’ The Extinction Protocol adds: “ . . . this is a world-wide disaster of the most epic proportions just waiting to happen.
“In early stages of the Fukushima disaster Tepco, under influence of the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA), tried to keep the full ramifications of Fukushima under wraps, and now the entire country faces a possible trillion dollar price tag and multiple decades of active clean up to make this go away, but that will all be a moot point if the fuel rods aren’t removed properly. All the boron between spent fuel rods has disintegrated.”
Feermeno: (Screaming louder) And now Elaine Kurtenbach reports: ‘TEPCO Seeks More Restarts Of Japanese Reactors’: “. . . has requested that safety inspections be carried out to allow for restarting two nuclear reactors, despite concerns over how it has handled the catastrophe at the Fukushima plant.”
Sissy: I’ve been here long enough helping Feermeno to understand that this is all about pride. Japanese too proud to ask other nations for help. And that pride could destroy the world. Oh, how I wish I was just a nagging kid again!
Repriestly: Yes, and this is why the world needs one leader for all, and He is the soon-coming LORD Jesus Christ. Meanwhile, our only hope is prayer, for as the warning on my wholesale christian sweatshirt reminds: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall (Proverbs 16: 18.)”
Just as poor regional and national planning leaves American cities running out of water, the same can be said about the soaring costs of Western wild fires, spurred on by Global Warming and rapid increases of homes in expected fire areas.
And again politicians do nothing about it. In ‘Wildfires Are Getting Worse. Why Is Congress So Unprepared?,’ Brad Plumber explains: “There are a couple of big reasons why wildfires, particularly out West, have been getting bigger and more destructive over time. Climate change has heated up and dried out the region, making forests more flammable.
“But there’s another key factor driving up costs: The number of people living in fire-prone areas has grown dramatically. Some 250,000 new residents have settled in Colorado’s “red zone” over the past two decades, . . . Not only can that increase the odds of a fire starting in the first place. . . it increases the cost of suppression, as firefighters focus on protecting nearby homes.”
In a separate article, ‘Why Western Wildfires Keep Getting Worse,’ Plumber quotes Craig Allen from the U.S. Geological Survey : “. . . as more and more people push deep into forested regions, that increases the risk of accidents. More smokers, more ignition from motorized vehicles… even more arson.’
For example Allen adds: “The record-setting Las Conchas fire in New Mexico last year, which consumed 40,000 acres, began when an aspen tree toppled onto a power line that was serving just six homes in a remote area.”
Reminder: isn’t that why 19 Arizona fire fighters lost their lives last June, trying to protect homes built in fire-prone areas where they never should have been allowed in the first place? And oh yes, widows of some of those 19 heroes are not getting benefits because their husbands were ‘part-time’ employees for Uncle Sam.
Such inept planning by local and national governments must stop. Now instead of considering these factors, Congress has drastically cut fire fighting budgets. In ‘Federal Budget to Fight Wildfires Is Depleted,’ Darryl Fears argues: “[T]he federal government has run through its budget for fighting wildfires amid a grueling, deadly season and will be forced to move $600 million from other funds, some of which help prevent fires.” Moreover, in 2011 Congress took $ 200 million from fire fighting budgets, and this year’s sequester cut $ 115 million more.”
They say Nero fiddled while Rome burned. But this is not just historical reference. In this 21st Century, America’s law-makers ‘fiddle’ with political hatreds rather than looking after the nation’s total welfare.
Well do used Christian Bibles prophesy God’s soon coming government. Though He will do so in love, when The LORD Jesus governs nations, “He shall rule them with a rod of iron (Revelation 2: 27).” Then people will live where they should, and workers who risk their lives will get full pay and benefits.
In rather opaque language, Japan’s nuclear watchdog––i.e. Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA)––appears to say another large nuclear leak has erupted from a different Fukushima storage tank. (Excuse me while I scream!)
NRA told Mari Yamaguchi of Associated Press today: NRA “proposed Wednesday to define a fresh leakage of highly radioactive leak from one of the hundreds of storage tanks at Japan’s crippled atomic power plant this week, its worst leak yet from such a vessel.” Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) says:
“The leak is the fifth, and the worst, since last year involving tanks of the same design at the wrecked Fukushima Dai-ichi plant, raising concerns that contaminated water could begin leaking from storage tanks one after another.”
[Here comes another scream as I pull my hair out. Where is Jael? This is insane. I must be reassigned.] Mari also tells AP: “During the meeting, officials also revealed that plant workers apparently have overlooked several signs of leaks, suggesting that their twice-daily patrols were largely just a walk.
“They have not monitored water levels inside tanks, obviously missed a puddle forming at the bottom of the tank earlier, and kept open a valve on an anti-leakage barrier around the tanks.” [OK Now I’m livid, jumping up and down!]
Get Rev. Repriestly! This is insane! Want more? This goop was stored in rubber tanks: “TEPCO says the tanks that have leaked use rubber seams that were intended to last about five years. TEPCO spokesman Masayuki Ono said it plans to build additional tanks with welded seams that are more watertight, but will still have to rely on ones with rubber seams.” Rubber seams for nuclear waste????
Mari ends her report: “Contaminated water that TEPCO has been unable to contain continues to enter the Pacific Ocean at a rate of hundreds of tons per day. Much of that is ground water that has mixed with untreated radioactive water at the plant.” Look out U.S. West Coast. It’s coming your way.
Think I’m upset? Listen to what Chinese officials tell Reuters News Service: “China [is] shocked to hear contaminated water [is] still leaking from the plant, [we] urge Japan to provide information in a timely, thorough and accurate way. We hope the Japanese side can earnestly take effective steps to put an end to the negative impact of the after-effects of the Fukushima nuclear accident.”
Under the circumstances, that doesn’t seem to much to ask. After all, that nuclear-filled water hits China first! Isn’t there an International Nuclear Regulatory Agency? Why aren’t they coming over here to help these ‘scientists’?
What about Japanese people? This stuff is in their water and air. Please Rev. Repriestly, this calls for serious prayer. That verse on plus size Christian sweatshirts promises: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (James 1: 5).” As this could eventually affect the whole world, please ask God for wisdom to solve it.
