Cities, States & Nations Preparing for Climate Change or Not!! Pt 1

disaster-readiness-map-670-thumb-400x333-13479    Other nations, and some states within the U.S., most damaged by Global Warming have done the least to prepare for its next ravaging waves.  As SPX News Service advices, “World leaders are failing to adopt advanced early warning systems that could save millions of lives in disaster-prone regions.

“Technological breakthroughs mean that mobile phones can be used to alert millions of people to impending perils such as tsunamis and typhoons. But with a few notable exceptions, governments have been too slow to appreciate the life-saving potential of cheap and simple warning systems that could have eased the 3,600 death toll from the Philippines Haiyan typhoon.”

Even as Japan’s leaders concentrate on opening more nuclear power plants, Antoni Slodkowski of Reuters writes in: ‘Japan’s Quake Defenses Not Enough, Official Reports Warn’: “. . . two studies predicted much higher waves could hit and . . . quake damage [to nuclear plants] could be bigger than it was prepared for.  . . . a quake as big as the one in 2011 could trigger waves topping 112 feet.”

However, a good example of preparedness for Global Warming in the U.S. is New York State.  According to Ken Lovett of The Daily Politics, after Hurricane Sandy’s multiple disasters, Governor Cuomo and the State Legislature put systems in place to strengthen that area’s defenses against Global Warming.

First, they plan to plug all 540 openings in the subway system to prevent flooding in future storms.  The governor Flooding-disaster-supermarketsays:  “Subway tunnels and stairways will have sealing devices to hold back flood waters that wreaked havoc during Hurricane Sandy and caused a multi-day shutdown of the system.

“As part of a $ 5 billion upgrade, we’re going to fundamentally redesign of the subway system since it was created over 100 years ago. We’re going to retrofit the entire system, every facet of the system. . . . from train yards to the tunnels.

Moreover, officials there announced that New York City’s two major airports will be upgraded, and 100 bridges throughout the state will be repaired or replaced so they can withstand severe storms.  The state received $ 16 billion in federal relief funds for some 1,000 projects state-wide to help recovery from Sandy.

Generators and gas reserves will enable gas stations to service customers if if tankers cannot get through flood waters. Electrical substations and some roadways will be elevated, and moveable storm walls built for coastal areas.  Also, engineers will create ‘micro-grids’ in areas to supplement main power stations.

New York is purchasing 321 homes on Staten Island to create wetlands  as buffers.  The state’s weather detection system will be expanded. Some 100,000 people will be trained for a “citizens first responder corp;” and the state is creating a college exclusively to train for emergency preparedness and homeland security.

In contrast, a state like New Jersey, which received multi-millions in Sandy aide, has done little to prepare for the next major storm.  The U.S. attorney is investigating claims of one city mayor who asked for funds to strengthen storm walls and was apparently turned down because she wouldn’t grant political favors.

Leaders of cities, states and nations are ‘fathers’ responsible for the safety their people.  And scientists warning about Global Warming are modern-day prophets. ‘Fathers’ who don’t protect their people from Climate Change must repent as Daniel cries in Bible prophecies: “Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in Thy Name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land (9:6).” Otherwise, only judgment awaits!

Nations Refuse to Prepare for the Worst of Global Warming, Part 3

posted by Cecil Certifier @ 9:00 AM
April 12, 2014

All-types-emergenciesSarah Newsworthy: As Cecil said yesterday, emergencies differ in location, type and preparation requirements, it is difficult to know where to start. In his ’10 Urgent Preparedness Tips for Surviving A Damaged City,’ Mike Adams lists:

1)  Store water, at least four gallons for each person for estimated days of disaster; 2) Purchase a water filtration system that doesn’t require electricity; 3) Store can goods and other non-refrigerated foods that don’t require cooking, as well as some type of stove and its necessary fuel––enough for at least two weeks;

4)  Also store cleansers, soaps and other anti-germ products; even medical grade germicides, such as iodine; 5) Because police are usually unavailable during major disasters, keep legal self-defense items available, even if just pepper spray;

6)  Very important to keep emergency medicines available, including a first aid kit with bandages, antiseptics and antibacterial liquids; 7) Have a hand-cranked, emergency radio available, as well as back-up chargers for mobil phones;

8)  Have flashlights and other emergency lighting on hand, along with sufficient batteries; 9) If safely possible have extra fuel available for your car; and 10) Keep extra nutritional foods––i.e. vitamins, minerals, supplements––on hand as these types of crises cause stress that can rob your body of needed nutrients.

Cecil Certifier: But while those are good ideas for storing safety items at home, what happens if ‘home’ is destroyed as happens often in a fire or catastrophes like Hurricane Sandy? First, says design a Family Disaster Plan, based on the type of emergencies typical for your neighborhood!

In addition to each family member having shared responsibilities, they should agree on two places to meet outside of the home, along with a plan for re-groping, if it becomes necessary.  Also keep fire extinguishers on hand, and test battery-powered fire and smoke alarms often. has scores of other tips for handling catastrophes, including keeping pets save; creating networks of family, neighbors and friends; working with the disabled, etc. Also the National Disaster Education Coalition has a great book available––’Talking About Disaster: Guide for Standard Messages’.

Sarah: That Center as well as ProQuest’s ‘Natural Disasters: Prepare, Mitigate, Manage’ by Carla R. McMillan, different-disasterssummarizes possible disasters: “Chemical Emergencies, Earthquake, Fire, Flood and Flash Flood, Heat Wave, Hurricane, Landslide, Thunderstorm, Tornado, Tsunami, Volcano, Wildfire, Winter Storm, etc. But many other possibilities exist.  So preparations are vital!

Also, make sure that your town, area, and state officials are in constant connection with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Weather Service, U.S. Geological Survey, the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, National Fire Protection, Institute for Business and Home Safety, and International Association of Emergency Managers.

Cecil:  But none of this works if people are not willing to prepare for such emergencies. Of course the best preparation is to maintain deep faith in God.  The most repeated phrase in Bible prophecies is:  “The just shall live by faith (Galatians 3:11).” See also Romans 1: 17, Habakkuk 2: 4 and Hebrews 10: 38.

Fukushima-waste-crossing-over    Now the U.S. government joins Japan and its Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) to deny the dangers of high levels of cesium radiation seeping into the Pacific Ocean that have now reached the United States. Both governments insists amounts of exposure are low, but scientists disagree.

Philip Ross in ‘Fukushima Radiation To Reach West Coast In April, Experts Weigh In On How Dangerous It Is’ posits that cesium isotopes “are among the most dangerous radionuclides because they emit flesh-penetrating gamma rays.”

Ross adds:  “ Radioactive isotopes decay over time, but their half-lives, meaning the time it takes for half the isotope to break down into a more stable material, can be pretty long.  Cesium 134, for example, has a half-life of two years.

Among the most alarming things his U.S.A. Today article includes is:  “Since the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster, scientists say as many as 20 trillion becquerels of cesium 137, 10 trillion becquerels of strontium 90 and 40 trillion becquerels of tritium were released into the Pacific Ocean.

“Let’s not forget, however, that our oceans already contain vast amounts of radiation from nuclear power plants across the globe. Plants routinely pump radioactive water into our oceans, albeit less dangerous isotopes than cesium.”

Mikael Thalen of reveals that scientists collecting kelp off the coast of San Diego claim to have indeed found cesium in Pacific waters. Dr. Matthew Edwards, of San Diego State University explains: “. . . academic institutions have begun receiving results from samples of Bull Kelp and Giant Kelp collected along the California coast.

“Despite media attempts to downplay the ongoing disaster, the discovery has only confirmed the continued build up of radiation in West Coast waters. We’re trying to figure out how much is there and . . . is getting into the ecosystem.”

Thalen adds that––although the government denies any connection––some 70 American sailors from the USS Ronald Reagan who were part of rescue efforts during the 2011 Fukushima catastrophic nuclear spillage in Japan are now sick with brain tumors, thyroid cancers and leukemia.

With radiation levels over 1,400% above normal found on one California beach, ‘Bloomberg Business Week’ agrees that U.S. nuclear plants routinely dump radioactive chemicals into oceans:  “The runoff from the Japanese plant will mingle with radiation released by other atomic stations, such as Diablo Canyon.”

“Under normal operations, Diablo Canyon in California discharges more radiation into the sea, albeit of a less dangerous isotope, than the Fukushima station, which suffered the worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl.”

Strangely, no known federal agency is monitoring U.S. Pacific Coasts waters for high levels of radiation.  Maybe its bluefin_tunabecause officials already know how such radiation slowly poisons this nation’s fish, deep aquifers and drinking water.  Shame on such leaders to depend upon such evil affectations to make a profit.

Christians must beg The LORD Jesus’ soon return to earth. Only He can save mankind from ruination. As Bible prophecies promise: “ . . . the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).”

China and Russia: Some People Don’t Want to be Part of Empires

posted by admin @ 21:42 PM
March 4, 2014

Why Russia thinks it needs a piece of Ukraine, when it faces severe terrorism from Muslims in the Caucasus, or why China usually ignores Muslim rebels in Uyghur––pose intriguing questions. Some areas are too large to rule over.

In warning about possible Muslim attacks before the Sochi Games, Hayes Brown wrote:  “The states of Dagestan, Ingushetia, and Chechnya both lie beyond the Caucasus mountain range from Krasnodar Krai, home to Sochi, and that is what has Russian officials the most concerned.

China-knife-attack        “All three states have majority Muslim populations that have struggled against Moscow’s rule for decades, with Chechnya in particular fighting several all-out wars launched to keep them within the Federation. Russian President Vladimir Putin came to power during the second of these wars, which saw him accused of using excessive force against civilians.”

Just as Putin refuses to understand that Ukrainians and Chechens want to be freed from Russian rule, his Chinese counterpart remains blinded about Uyghur Muslims, in Xingiang province, despite repeated attacks from Muslim rebels.

Last week, some 10 Muslim separatists covered in all black karate-type uniforms, and carrying unbelievably huge slaughtering knives hacked down some 30 innocent Chinese citizens in a crowded subway station, and injured 130 more.

That attack came a scant few days before the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the National People’s Congress now being held.  The attacks mounted huge embarrassment to Chinese Communist China-knife-attack-2officials.

But it was not as bad as it could have been. In 2009, during heavy fighting between Uyghurs and ethnic Chinese in Xingiang some 200 people were killed. Most Muslims in Xingiang remain angered because China continually tries to restriction their culture and religion.  China cannot force people to be atheists.

According to Dennis Lynch of  “The Chinese government vehemently denies that it oppresses any minorities in Xinjiang and regularly claims the separatists are religious extremists that ‘mislead the public and deceive world opinion in order to escape blows dealt by the international struggle against terrorism’.” Rebels have resisted Chinese with riots, bombing, etc. all this century.

Lynch posits the rebels want to be fully independent of China in a separate Uyghur state, known as East Turkestan. This makes some sense as “Xinjiang borders Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.”  And most of those nations are Muslim as well.

Again, why China expanded its rule over the region in 1949 is unexplainable.  Why do China and Russia insist on ruling over people who resist their rule?  To further express discontent, two Uyghur terrorists set a SUV on fire and ran down two tourists in the middle of Beijing’s famous Tiananmen Square.

Bible prophesies promise that very soon, no nation will be able to rule over another for The LORD Jesus Christ will rule over then all:  “And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats (Matthew 25: 32).”

California’s Drought to Affect Food Prices in U.S. & Around the World

posted by Frank Butterman Food Inspector @ 9:00 AM
February 20, 2014

California-Serious-Drought       Few Americans realize how much this year’s food prices will greatly increase here and around the world because the nation’s food basket is largely filled by the state of California. That basket is under severe attack from drought.

In addition to pointing out that “. . . the size of the total U.S. cattle herd is now the smallest that it has been since 1951?,” in ’15 Reasons Why Your Food Bill Is Going To Start Soaring,‘ The Economic Collapse further astonishes with:

“If the drought that has been devastating farmers and ranchers out west continues, we are going to see prices for meat, fruits and vegetables soar into the stratosphere.  Already, the federal government has declared portions of 11 states to be ‘disaster areas,’ and California farmers are going to leave half a million acres sitting idle this year because of the extremely dry conditions.”

What’s more, the writer points out, some experts fear this drought season could last for decades.  Among those US-Drought-Monitor15 reasons, that writer adds: 1) 2013 was the driest year on record for California; 2) 91.6% of that state is in “severe to exceptional drought;” 3) Other western states are dry as well causing those farmers to sell off live stock; and 4) Drought also affects food production in other nations.

On that point, Americans probably can’t count on food supplies from overseas:  In ‘It has Begun:  Wise Up and Stock Up As Food Shortages and Price Hikes Are Coming Before Years End, Lizzie Bennett of ‘Underground Medic says:

“Peru, Venezuela, and Bolivia have experienced rainfall heavy enough to flood fields and rot crops; Rice production in China has been affected by record low temperatures; Parts of Australia have been in drought for years affecting cattle and agricultural production, etc.”

Celeste Cantu, General Manager of the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority insists:  “ . . . this drought could have a “cataclysmic” impact on food prices . . . as 80 percent of California’s freshwater supply is used for agriculture, The cost of fruits and vegetables could soar.”

Writing for NBC News, Miguel Almaguer and Daniel Arkin reveal: “In the state’s Central Valley—where nearly 40 percent of all jobs are tied to agriculture production and related processing—the pain has already trickled down. Businesses across a wide swath of the region have shuttered, casting countless workers adrift in a downturn that calls to mind the Dust Bowl of the 1930s.”

As food prices go up, most incomes are stagnant.  In ‘Food Prices Soar as Incomes Stand Still,’ Michelle Miller of CBS News points out: “While the government says prices are up 6.4 percent since 2011, chicken is up 18.4 percent, ground beef is up 16.8 percent and bacon has skyrocketed up 22.8 percent. . . while economists paint a benign picture, middle-class families are quietly struggling.”

One side of Bible prophecies says believers will be blessed in drought: “Blessed is the man that trusteth in The LORD, and whose hope The LORD is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit  (Jeremiah 17: 7 – 8).”

Another side pronounces that drought is a curse:  “Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned (Job 24: 19).” It is time for all to repent, and pray, pray, pray for God’s grace to send rain!

To ‘Astro-scientists’: God Is Not in Dark Matter or Higgs Boson, Pt 2

posted by Jim Seerfar @ 19:56 PM
January 24, 2014

dark-matter-space        Now as to the issue of dark matter, another illusive ‘fact’ in space ‘science’, one that supposedly composes 96 percent of the universe. Astronomers cannot see it or prove it exists, yet they claim to ‘map’ this dark matter.

Corey S. Powell, editor at large for Discover magazine, explains:  “Dark matter makes up much of the cosmos, yet no one knows exactly what it is.”  Yet, he claims physicists are close to solving this ‘mystery.’ As I asked yesterday, why?

Dr. Rick Gaitskell, physics professor at Brown University, leads a team operating the man-made Large Underground Xenon (LUX) operating inside the mile long Homestake Gold Mine, trying to find some dozen pieces of dark matter.

LUX costs $10 million, and Gaitskell has been looking for the illusive matter for 24 years, and his million dollar testimony about his goal: “Every experiment has reported essentially negative results. No one even knows for sure if the damn stuff really exists.”

In “A Shot in the Dark: Detector On the Hunt for Dark Matter,” Science Daily posits the University of Washington’s Center for Experimental Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics will find ‘matter’ because they look in a smaller place:

“Since the 1930s, scientists have believed there must be some unseen but massive substance, a sort of gravitational glue, that prevents rotating galaxies from spinning apart. Axions, if they in fact do exist, are candidates for the makeup of cold dark matter that would act as that gravitational glue.

“The aim of the Axion Dark Matter Experiment is to search for cold dark matter axions in the halo of the Milky Way galaxy by detecting the very weak conversion of axions into microwave photons.”

Moreover, a conference organized by the Kavli Institute at U.C. Santa Barbara concluded:  “There is an emerging consensus that a robust and accurate identification of dark matter will probably require the combination of multiple probes. . . . . . the characterization of the particle making up the cosmological dark matter will require an approach based on the combination of multiple probes: colliders (LHC), cosmology (WMAP, Planck, and other CMB and large scale structure determinations of the relic dark matter abundance),

“ . . . direct detection experiments (CDMS, XENON, Zeplin, WARP, ArDM and others) and indirect detection experiments––such as gamma ray detectors (Fermi from space and Cherenkov Telescopes from the ground), neutrino telescopes (IceCube, Antares), antimatter detectors (Pamela, AMS-02), as well as X-ray and radio facilities.”  Ahhh. Many more millions spent, rather wasted.

Why do they seek dark matter? Do they plan to build another universe?  Can Discover magazine or Science Daily Defining_Dark_Matter_and_Energy_in_a_4th_Etheric_Systemgive the public a reasoned argument as to why such expensive experiments are more important than taking care of Mother Earth?

This is the major commandment God gave to man: take care of earth and all in it. Instead some ‘wise’ men want to meddle into God’s business, taking resources from His earthly creation without giving reason. They should beware! Bible prophecies say of Infinite God: “To whom then will ye liken Me, or shall I be equal? saith The Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold Who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: He calleth them all . . .

. . . by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one faileth. . .Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that The Everlasting God, The LORD, The Creator of the Ends of the Earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding (Isaiah 40:25- 28).”

Man Encroaches Animal Territory––Then Justifies Slaughtering Them!

posted by Jael Ever @ 16:04 PM
December 16, 2013

Save-The-Deer    Now it has become ‘fashionable’ across the U.S. for surburban residents to hunt and kill wild animals, while ignoring the fact that real estate and commercial expansion first transgressed areas that animals considered to be their homes.

As David Von Drehle writes this week in ‘Time Magazine:’  “After nearly wiping out many wildlife species 50 years ago, Americans are once again living close––sometimes uncomfortably so––to all kinds of feral creatures.”

His article, ‘America’s Pest Problem:  Why the Rules of Hunting Are About to Change,’ explains:  “Whether you’re a Walmart employee in Florida wondering what to do with the alligator at your door, a New Yorker with a hawk nesting on your high-rise or an Ohio golfer scattering a flock of Canada geese, you now live, work and play in closer proximity to untamed fauna than any other generation of Americans in more than a century.”

Thus, this nation’s years-old pity for Bambi disappears when she shows up near your mail box, eating your prize front yard ‘show’ flowers.  As Dan Morse, Jeremy Borden and Clarence Williams posit in Washington Post’s ‘As Deer Encroach on Washington Suburbs, Attitudes about Kills Shift:’

“While deer encroachment on populated suburban lands has become a national problem, specific events have driven the shift locally. On a typical day in Montgomery, five motorists strike deer.”  When a 9-month-old buck crashed a restaurant window, the owner said, “Too many deer.  They have to do something.”

That something is that now suburbanites have taken up gun hunting.  As Von Drehle says:  “Too many deer, wild pigs, raccoons and beavers can be almost as bad for the animals as too few. . . . communities across the country find themselves forced to grapple with a conundrum. The same environmental sensitivity that brought Bambi back from the brink . . . now makes it painfully controversial to do what experts say must be done: . . these critters need to be killed.”

Interesting that he lumps wild pigs in with other natural animals.  In all of the other examples, gluts of freeways deer-slaughtergiving automobile access to real estate developments in what were once wilderness areas, enabled people to infringe on animal habitats.  But wild pigs were illegally imported into this country several years ago.  They multiply much more rapidly than deer or other native animals, destroy farm lands, and often attack people with threats to kill, while deer don’t!

But then when it comes to over-valued real estate forced upon America’s wilderness, over-armed people stand ready to kill.  Great news for gun dealers, the National Rifle Association, and internet gun sales.

But horrible news for the nation’s moral status before God.  As He warns in Bible prophecies, man was to rule over and care for animals (i.e. Genesis 1: 26), not needlessly kill them.  Just as that was the commandment in the first book of the Bible, in the last book, He allows animals to have revenge:

“And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth (Revelation 6: 8).”

21st Century Diseases: 11 Million of Us, Weather Sickness Multiplied

posted by Dr. Ad Versery Bored @ 17:25 PM
December 6, 2013

hantavirusxIn the last half of the 20th century, earth’s human population grew from 2.5 billion to 6 billion people. This population explosion trespasses animal territories and unexplored ecosystems thus unleashes new infectious diseases upon mankind.  And in less than a quarter of a century that population has nearly doubled again.

In ‘What 11 Billion People Mean for Disease Outbreaks,’ Bahar Gholipour
explains:  “The explosive growth of the human population—from 2.5 billion to 6 billion since the second half of the 20th century—may have already started changing how infectious diseases emerge.”

Dr. Peter Daszak, President of Eco Health Alliance and a disease ecologist, tells Gholipour:  “More than 300 new infectious diseases emerged between 1940 and 2004.  Some of these diseases were caused by pathogens that have hopped across species and finally into humans.” Even known pathogens developed drug-resistance––i.e. tuberculosis and malaria.  Others increased in patient incidence.

Findings within the series, ‘Emerging Infectious Diseases of the 21st Century,’ by Dr. I.W. Fong conclude:  “The advent of vaccines and antibiotics in the mid-twentieth century gave false hope. . . that infectious diseases would be a relic of the past by the end of the twentieth century. Quite the contrary has occurred with new emerging infectious diseases being recognized as we are currently witnessing with the AIDS pandemic, and re-emergence of older microbes.”

Further an excellent study from the University of Rochester, ‘Infectious Diseases in the 21st Century,’ conclude: “The [rising] number of new infectious agents has been on the rise.  These include the West Nile virus, monkey pox, and hantavirus. . . . diseases once thought to be nearly wiped out, such as measles, mumps, pertussis and malaria, have reappeared. The spread of sexually transmitted diseases and tuberculosis, once slowed, now appears to be on the rise again.

“Microbes by nature adapt to their environment and rapidly evolve. This makes it more difficult to create vaccines and can lead microbes to develop resistance to treatments. Careless use of antibiotics, a widespread problem in the United States, also allows microbes to develop resistance.”

The Rochester article then explains how Climate Change––i.e. heavy rainstorms warmer weather, flooding, drought, climate_change-WMincreasing numbers of the number of insects––often bring people together making it easier to spread diseases.

It then cites the ways––economic development, forest clearings, illegal drug use, blood transfusions, organ transplants, contaminated water, feeding antibiotics to animals, etc.––that affect disease transfers.  That report concludes:  “The solution to the accidental and intentional spread of infectious agents will require global cooperation, adequate funding for public health, rapid communication of knowledge and information on diseases, and social and political commitments.”

Note the chide ‘intentional’ indicating that someone deliberately kills others with 21st century diseases.  Those who create Climate Change to increase industrial profits––and are thus responsible for the above results–– will soon share eternal punishment.  As The LORD Jesus repeats in John 10: 10 of Bible prophecies: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I Am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

‘The Night’ Cometh: Strengthen Christian Faith While There’s Time

posted by Sandra Repriestly @ 1:17 AM
November 24, 2013

persecution-Christians        Can you image: Being whipped with 80 lashes because your fellowship drank Communion cups for The LORD’s supper; Or being among 366 killed because your Christian prayer group was said to engage in ‘un-Islamic’ activity; Or watching artillery shells explode your church while it was full of people?

In ‘Iran Gives Christians 80 Lashes for Communion Wine. . . ,’ Benjamin Weinthal reports:  “Four Iranian Christians were . . . sentenced to 80 lashes for drinking wine for communion, a shocking punishment . . . even as a new U.N. report blasted the Islamic republic for its systematic persecution of non-Muslims.”

Christian Solidarity Worldwide says the men “were among several Christians punished for their faith in a nation where converting from Islam to Christianity can bring the death penalty.”

Ahmed Shaheed, UN human rights reporter, claims:  “At least 20 Christians were in custody in July 2013 . . . violations of the rights of Christians, particularly those belonging to evangelical Protestant groups, many of whom are converts, who proselytize to and serve Iranian Christians of Muslim background” are witnessed.

Weinthal also explains:  “Iran’s regime has made stopping the spread of Christianity a cornerstone of its crackdown on religious freedom. The U.S. State Department estimates there [may be] as many as 370,000 Christians in Iran.” The clerical rulers believe Christianity threatens their Shiite Islamic religion.

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom in, ‘Commission: Boko Haram Has Attacked 50 Churches Since 2012,’ also laments: “The Islamist terrorist organization Boko Haram has “bombed, burned, or attacked’ 50 churches in Nigeria since January 2012.  The 50 attacks have killed at least 366 persons:

“31 separate attacks on Christians . . . perceived to be Christian, killing at least 166 persons; 23 targeted attacks on Lions-Christiansclerics or senior Islamic figures critical of Boko Haram, killing at least 60 persons; and 21 attacks on ‘un-Islamic’ institutions or persons engaged in ‘un-Islamic’ behavior, killing at least 74.”
World Watch Monitor quotes Rev. Mbaye-Bondoi, a pastor in Bangui, who witnessed:  “Three artillery shells crashed into a church and killed seven people during a weekend of violence in the Central African Republic . . . Two shells landed on the church building and another one landed in the churchyard.”

The seven fallen were attending Sunday services in the Evangelical Federation of Brothers church. Several children were also wounded. The Seleka Coalition fired the shells. Since the Seleka group was formed, “there have been attacks on Christian clerics and lay people, as well as their homes and churches.”

While these Christians are martyred, too often American Christians ‘feast’ on church dinners, ‘televised’ worship, and Christianized pageantry.  If U.S. Christians don’t truly repent, this group will be just as The LORD spoke to the Church of the Laodiceans in Revelations 3 of Bible prophecies:

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:. . . because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth. . . . thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”

Truth of Global Warming: Don’t Let Them Downplay Midwest Tornadoes!

posted by Sarah N Worthy IATTWJ Member @ 19:33 PM
November 19, 2013

507283-el-reno-tornado    So far 13 counties in Illinois and Indiana have been declared disaster areas following some 80 tornadoes that struck Midwest America over the weekend. Leaving damage in 12 states, these storms killed at least eight victims, and injured some 200 others––with some in traumatized shock that everything they owned was gone––and another 600,000 in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan without power!

Within minutes after violent whirling winds touched down, horrified people screamed crying in the street as their houses were completely blown away.  CNN iReporter Anthony Khoury quotes homeowner Michelle Crumrine, who watched as her home was swept away: “A lot of people have a pile of rubble still, and I don’t have anything . . . It’s gone. I don’t know where it went.”

The National Weather Service measured tornado speeds at nearly 200 mph, speeds causing EF-4 damage, within the highest possible of EF-5.  From the air, storm consequence is easily seen in swaths of damage at least three miles long. No tornado of such strength has swept through the midwest in November since 1950.

Associated Press and report a total of 12 states affected by the storms: Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and western New York.

Designated counties are now eligible for state and federal aid in the struggle to recover from the disaster.  According to CBS News those counties include:  Champaign, Douglas, Grundy, Jasper, LaSalle, Massac, Pope, Tazewell, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, Will, and Woodford.

Complete damage reports are not in as the wind storms affected over 60 million Americans.  State Farm Insurance says it has received 1,834 homeowners’ claims in Illinois, and another 1,245 in Indiana, brought by the tornadoes and dt common streams StreamServerother severe weather damage this week.

Dominic Rushe of explains    that warm temperatures in the 60s and 70s could produce severe weather. Meteorologist Matt Friedlein told him:  “You don’t need temperatures in the 80s and 90s to produce severe weather [because] the strong winds compensate for the lack of heating.”

News coverage enthralled by the ravages of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines seems to downplay this weekend’s tornado destruction, as well as the storms simultaneously striking Italy’s Island of Sardinia in The Mediterranean leaving 17 dead, washing out several bridges, and sweeping away dozens of cars!

Again, weather services referred to those storms as ‘freak’!  But none of these frightful events are bizarre.  They are the result of Global Warming!  And until governments, and news reporters start dealing with the real source of these tragedies, such devastation will only drastically increase! But if they don’t:

Only Almighty God can stave off such consequences in these end times.  And He is best motivated by the prayers of those who are ‘in’ Christ Jesus The LORD, Who said in Bible prophecies:  “And there shall be signs . . . upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and waves roaring (Luke 21: 25).”

Through the power of prayer, Christians can foresee such destruction coming to earth, and ask God for revival so that millions more will be preserved for heaven before the ultimate destroyer of billions finally emerges from Syria!
